MARCO RUBIO LOOKS MORE LIKE R2-D2 THAN A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

…Marco refuses to take on “The Donald”.

Marco’s lack of experience shows well beyond that of when Senator Barack Obama first ran for president.

As we watch Marco Rubio campaigning, it becomes very obvious just how much of an amateur national politician he is today.

When seasoned reporters challenge Rubio on the fact that he sounds like a pre-recorded tape at his so called “Town Meetings”, his only response is “’That’s my message.  It’s the reason I’m running for president.

But he says this as he is surrounded by his “handlers” and he only answers selected questions from hand-picked questioners.

When asked about why he never attacks anything that Donald Trump says, he just responds with “Donald hasn’t really outlined any position on policies. So when the time comes and it’s appropriate, we’ll do so.”

However, Trump has made it clear on what he would do about Obamacare, about the southern border, the Iran agreement, and a host of other issues that could easily be responded to, but Rubio continues to refuse.

It is possible that Rubio just recognizes that almost all of those that have attacked Trump are now no longer in the race?  But by totally ducking any questions about Trump, it makes Rubio appear weak and shallow.

Chris Christie has also mocked Rubio as “the boy in the bubble” that is totally managed by his “handlers.” This appears to be totally true, and as the campaign continues, I am curious why this plastic candidate has actually become the “Teflon Candidate”.  Nothing seems to stick to this Florida Senator that has been running for president since he became a Florida Senator.

Rubio has one of the lowest voting records in the US Senate because he is always on the road campaigning.  When Rick Santorum dropped out of the race and decided to endorse Rubio, in an interview on Morning Joe, Santorum couldn’t give Joe Scarborough one Rubio accomplishment as a US Senator.

The word on the street has it that if Rubio does not become the GOP nominee, he will probably also not be re-elected in Florida, and he would probably lose Florida if he were to run for president as the GOP Nominee.  His position within Florida is anything but secure.

Rubio has been asked questions of his opinion of Donald Trump on Trump’s comments about banning Muslim from the country, or about Trump as a real conservative, about Trump wanting to close Mosques, or Trump’s calling people “stupid” or his views of the disabled.   Rubio says he is just rising above all that.  But his lack of response, as he has gone up in the polls, is now being closely viewed by more and more voters and by the other candidates.  Rising above it all will only work for so long.

As of coming in third in Iowa, Rubio now has a big target on his back for the other candidates to shoot at, and Rubio is not helping himself.

Rubio doesn’t even stick up for his own personal fashion choices.  When the very loud and brash Ann Coulter was warming up a Trump crowd, she called Rubio a, “Cuban boy who wears high heels and has big ears.”  A few day later, after being ridiculed for wearing the “boots with thick heels”, Rubio quickly retired the footwear.

Because of his good 3rd finish in Iowa, Rubio is now drawing larger crowds.  But with 40% of New Hampshire voters registered as Independents that can vote for either party, and this not being a caucus of evangelicals, this is a more pragmatic secular state and this is a primary election.  That is much different from a caucus.

Rubio keeps saying that he is the one that the Democrats don’t want to run against.  I think that may have been true before it became clear how Rubio was going to run as the robotic candidate.

If Rubio continues to run his automated presidential campaign, I don’t think the Democrats will be worrying much about Marco Rubio.

Count on it…
