TRUMP IS JUST ONE EXAMPLE OF ALL THE GOP CANDIDATES
…A Front Page Article on the
“Trumpster”
But Trump isn’t the only candidate
that is saying stupid things.
Every time Donald Trump opens his mouth, we find out more and more about how
far from reality the Republican party has come.
But it also has become clear that Donald’s GOP competitors are in many ways,
just as bad as the “Trumpster”.
No, in the long run, I don’t
think Donald Trump will continue to hold his lead over the real Republican
front runners. It is appearing that Trump’s position may
most likely mirror that of the early 2012 primaries when Michelle Bachmann and Herman
Cain became the fleeting front-runners after the Iowa caucuses. At least, that's what everybody seems to expect.
But what is
now occurring is that the other GOP
candidates are making statements that down the road will not bode well for
them. Especially when it gets closer to
deciding which Republican will be competing in the 2016 general election.
First, we have
a Republican candidate, currently with zero public support. He's the Louisiana
Governor, Bobby Jindal. This governor is now defending anti-gay and
racist remarks with some drivel about it involving constitutional rights. He has also decided that Article Three of the US
Constitution, you know, the one that established the US Supreme Court, Jindal believes it should be scuttled after that
same high court’s decision supporting same sex marriage.
But let’s also not
forget the Texas Senator, Ted Cruz,
who has actually called the day that the US
Supreme Court upheld healthcare and marriage equality, as “some of the darkest 24 hours in our nation’s
history.” That sounds a lot like the
Texas Senator is comparing those two latest court decisions to events such as
the bombing of Pearl Harbor
and the 9/11 terrorist
attacks. The two latest high court
issues that Senator Cruz refers to as being so bad, today they provide help and support for
millions of Americans. What’s so dark
and terrible about that?
Then there's the GOP candidate, Dr. Ben Carson, who has made a ridiculous statement saying that the current political correctness under President
Obama has made America “very much like
Nazi Germany”. He also stated that
the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), is “the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery.” Needless to say, the good doctor has never
fully explained what he means with either of these statements.
But Dr. Carson is well known for making outrageous statements that he
knows will get him on the nightly TV news programs.
And don't forget the former Pennsylvania Senator, Rick
Santorum, who in the aftermath of the Charleston, S.C. shooting, along with
the many repeated calls for taking down the Confederate flag, Santorum totally ignored
both of those issues. He instead talked
about “state’s rights” and he
suggested that the way to end the nation’s racism is to close down Planned Parenthood…..huh? No explanation offered as to how doing that stops racism.
Finally, we have the
former Texas Governor, Rick “oops” Perry, who is still under a federal indictment for excessive use of his power as
governor. But Perry is also known for being the governor that had signed orders for executing more Texas prisoners than all
other state governor’s….”combined”. But to put the appropriate slant on this atrocious
fact, his party’s people actually cheered him for that fact during the 2012
primaries. Not exactly a resume' item for someone I would want in the White House.
Now, on the other hand, the only
Republicans that apparently see and describes Donald Trump’s ridiculous comments regarding all Mexicans
as being out-of-line, are the Senator from South Carolina, Lindsay Graham, and the
Arizona Senator, John McCain.
Senator Graham
complains that “Trump is a wrecking ball and Jjckass for the future of the
Republican Party with the Hispanic community”.
Senator McCain, the same man who gave us Sarah Palin, McCain says “Trump has fired up all the party’s crazies”.
Senator McCain, the same man who gave us Sarah Palin, McCain says “Trump has fired up all the party’s crazies”.
And now Trump
is saying that just because McCain spent 5 years as a North Vietnam POW, he’s
not a real war hero.
Look people,
even though most everyone assume that Trump won’t make it to the general
election, Donald Trump really is the
candidate the Republican Party deserves…in spades!!
Trump is a
total train wreck in so many ways. But as a true representative and reminder of what
the Republican Party has now come to, we can only hope he sticks around till
the end. As he campaigns, he can’t possibly attempt tacking to the political center, after all his continual trash-talk.
The saner
elements of the Republican Party know if he would actually get to run, he would lose to Hillary, whom he
currently polls 17 points behind.
In
addition, it’s a pretty safe bet that the big donors and the Republican
leadership will target their money elsewhere when the time comes to get serious
about 2016.
But the
Democrats are still crossing their fingers that the “Trumpster” will continue in the race to November, 2016, or at least as long
as possible.
You go Trump!!!
