MR. PRESIDENT-ELECT, HOW WILL YOU PROTECT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE?

Is the billionaire cabinet an example of how Trump will be: “Draining the Swamp?”

 

OK, let’s try a little quiz.

 

What do the following corporations have in common?

 

>>> Starwood Hotels

>>> Smithfield Foods

>>> Ingram Micro Games and Software

>>> General Electric Home Appliances

>>> Terex Heavy Construction Equipment

>>> Legendary Entertainment Movie Studios

>>> Motorola Mobile

>>> AMC Movies

 

Well, these long-time successful US corporations were all purchased by companies that are owned by different state owned Chinese companies for a total cost of 46.4 billion US dollars.

 

In other words, like our new president-elect says, it’s nothing personal, just a financial arrangement where the one with the cash and that knows how to deal…always wins.

 

As one Post opinion writer has said to Donald Trump: “I’m pretty sure you didn’t care when I and many others called you a con man, a carnival barker, a bully and a snake oil salesman. Admit it. You were thinking: So what? I’m winning! And so you did. Win.”

 

The truth is that many of us op-ed writers have had “the Donald” properly within our sights.  We have been saying for months that we knew that you would not be able to do very much of what you had promised.  We knew that most of it was all BS because, opinion writer’s BS detectors are usually well versed on those people that have the “Bernie Madoff genes” for orchestrating large frauds by way of a verbal Ponzi scheme..

 

Donald, you have always said whatever you wanted to say, just as long as it agreed with your bizarre ideas.  It matters not that what you have said was untrue or, that others took it to heart and actually stumped for you even though you have had no intention of fulfilling what you have promised.  So what? You were winning.

 

It is all so clear that your so called “working for the American people” was all a ruse.  Just look at all the millionaires and billionaires that you have nominated for the wealthiest US cabinet in history.  You say, they are there “because they are all successful business executives”.  But where is there any examples of these guys or gals showing that they give a rat’s ass about the average American worker?

 

Your supposed anger against Muslims was faked and your promises became talking points that meant nothing to you, but they meant everything to your followers.  You continue to use the term “radical Islamic terrorist,” claim which comes from those with shouts of “Allahu akbar,” the Arabic phrase for “God is great”.  But do you truly realize that this is the last words from many of these evil people that will actually give up their lives using these as their last words on earth.  To you, it’s just words.

 

And now you want to hang around with the head of Russia as one of your pals.  If that’s the deal, what do you think of his close ally, the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad?  Are you just going to ignore the fact that both of them have been mass-murdering the very same people of Aleppo, that the assassin of the Russian Ambassador to turkey spoke of in his last words?.

 

In your promise to “bomb the Sxxx out of ISIS”, does that mean like bombing all the innocent men, women and children that are being bombed in Aleppo?

 

How are you going to prevent a commercial truck from running over an American crowd in a Christmas market place like the one that occurred in Berlin?  How will you protect American’s from a gunman that might enter any American church like the gunman that entered the prayer center wounding those people in Somalia?

 

Good luck with all that. Welcome to why you ever wanted this job, and I think you will find that you have bit off a bit more than you can chew.  But we will all be watching and it’s probably good for you that we aren’t expecting that you will do much of what you’ve promised.

 

But who knows?
