DONALD TRUMP HOPES THAT VLADIMIR PUTIN “LIKES ME!”
….This is the man who’s approval
Trump is seeking
Would “The Donald” seriously want
the Russians to hack into our systems?
You gotta give
credit where credit is due! Trump knows
that in order to come close to winning in November, he has to control the media
coverage 24/7.
What better
way than on one of the biggest day of the Democratic Convention, Donald Trump pleads
directly for the Russian government to meddle in the US presidential election.
He does this by asking them to find and releasing tens of thousands of private emails from his
Democratic opponent.
This is a bizarre and extraordinary and totally unprecedented maneuver
in American politics and it knocked the Democratic Convention and Obama’s
anticipated speech totally out of the news.
Think about
it!
Yep, Trump
said he wants to ask the notorious authoritarian, almost dictator, of the
former other side of the Cold War, to
dive into our national security systems and browse around at their convenience.
Here’s exactly
what “The Donald” actually said: “Russia,
if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 [Hilary] emails that
are missing,” said Trump during a news conference at one of his South
Florida resorts. He added later, “They
probably have them. I’d like to have them released.”
When asked
whether Russian espionage into the former Secretary of State’s correspondence
would concern him, Trump said, “No, it
gives me no pause. If they have them, they have them.” No further concern about having the number
one enemy of the US browsing around in an American citizens e-mail system. Why not just give them their own desk in the
CIA headquarters?
The emails
cited by Trump are from Clinton’s time at the State Department, where her use
of a private server prompted a federal investigation. The FBI later
concluded that no prosecution was necessary.
President
Obama, who had planned for weeks to address the Democratic Convention, told NBC News in an interview that Russia
could in fact, be working to influence the election of Mr. Trump.
“What we do know is that the Russians hacked
our systems, not just government systems but private systems,” Obama said.
“What the motives were in terms of the
leaks, all that — I can’t say directly. What I do know is that Donald Trump has
repeatedly expressed admiration for Vladimir Putin.”
Other pundits
have said that Trump is such a narcissist and craves so much attention, that
Putin could probably claim to admire Mr. Trump so much that Trump would give
his buddy, “Vald” whatever was asked
of him.
The former US Attorney General, Eric Holder, told MSNBC during the convention that this
statement by Trump should disqualify him from running for president. He also said he goes to bed every night with
a knot in his stomach when he thinks of Donald Trump possibly being in the White House.
Clinton
campaign manager Robby Mook responded to Trump’s Wednesday comments with a tone
of disbelief, telling reporters the apparent hacking was “a national security issue.”
He wasn’t referring to concern for what was in Hillary’s e-mails, he was
referring to the idea of encouraging a foreign enemy to hack into a US security
systems. That is a real national security
issue.
Democrats have
labored for weeks to put Trump on the defensive over his business and personal
ties to Russia. Especially, his professed admiration for its president, Putin,
as a “model leader”. Some have even
portrayed Trump as Putin’s “Manchurian
candidate”. If you don’t understand
that terminology, it’s asking if Putin might actually be brainwashing Trump into being part of a Communist
conspiracy. He would do this by
continually complementing Trump and by calling him “a Genius”, as Donald Trump has stated that Putin has said about
him.
Several of
Trump’s top advisers already have major business connections to Russia. In
fact, Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, has made millions of dollars in
business deals with pro-Russia oligarchs. In addition, Manafort has advised the
Putin-aligned president of Ukraine, whose 2014 ouster triggered Russia’s
intervention there.
Trump has
actually played into the Democrat’s hands by praising Putin’s leadership
qualities and by vowing that US relations with Russia would improve if Trump is
elected in November.
Trump has such
a knack for sticking his foot in his mouth, but he usually doesn’t pay for
doing it. Here is his latest example: “I don’t think Putin has any respect
whatsoever for Clinton,” Trump said. He added, “He has a total lack of respect for President Obama. Number one, he
doesn’t like him. And number two, he doesn’t respect him. I think he’s going to
respect your president if I’m elected. And I hope he likes me.”
Amazing that
the individual that wants to be the most powerful person in the world, he hopes
and is concerned if the dictator like leader of one of our long-time enemies “likes him”.
And the hits
just keep on coming.
