THE PRESUMPTIVE GOP NOMINEE HAS BEEN GIVEN A QUESTIONABLE HONOR

...Trump actually out-did Michele Bachmann in telling tall tales

Just more proof why he is not qualified to be our president.

Well, just a quickie about this week and the latest from the Washington Post Fact Checkers on the now presumptive GOP nominee, Donald Trump.

First, the checkers wanted to tell us that in a Fact Checker column from 2013, the then Representative, Michele Bachmann (R-MN) decided not to run for re-election. She had already set the Fact Checker record for the lawmaker with the highest percentage of Four-Pinocchio ratings.  She had earned four Four-Pinocchio ratings in less than six months.

Well, as usual, not to be out-done on anything, especially being awarded four full Pinocchio’s, Donald Trump has earned 4, count them, 4ea, Four Pinocchio ratings in just this last week.

For his first bald-faced lie this week, Trump  said “scores of recent migrants” in the US are charged with terrorism.  However, the majority of cases found that they involved US citizens, both natural-born and naturalized, not recent migrants.

For the second falsehood, Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had called him “a genius”.  Trump was really stretching a questionable mistranslation of the Russian word that Putin used into something far afield from its actual meaning.  Multiple news outlets have translated the word as “bright,” “very lively,”very colorful” — but in no way could it have been, “genius.”

For the third whopper, Trump defended his already-debunked claim alleging that Ted Cruz’s father, Rafael, worked with Lee Harvey Oswald, the assassin of President John F. Kennedy. Virtually everyone who looked into it found this claim false, including the Post’s in-house JFK assassination expert, Philip Bump.  However, Trump continued to make this claim, saying no one denied it. That earned Trump his third, Four-Pinocchio rating of the week.

Finally, Trump continued to use a claim that Hillary Clinton, not Trump, had “started the birther movement against President Obama” and was “one of the first” who “questioned” President Obama’s birth certificate. Not even close.  There’s no shred of evidence that this so called rumor was linked to Hillary Clinton.

So, for you Trump lovers, this is who you are supporting.  Someone that out-does Michele Bachmann in telling political Whoppers.
