A TRUTHFUL “LABEL” FOR DONALD J. TRUMP
…A caricature of “Dangerous
Donald”
In negotiating, Donald Trump would
always leave a dangerous nuclear solution on the table.
Well, there is
finally an appropriate label for Donald Trump.
Yep, since he
has labeled all of his competitors such as “Low
Energy Bush”, “Liddle Marco” and
“Lyin Ted”. Now, Dana Milbank of the Washington Post has come up with the most descriptive and
appropriate label for “The Donald”.
That label is, “Dangerous Donald”.
In fact, the
digital media company, Vox posted a
video in which their editor-in-chief Ezra Klein, made his case that “Donald Trump is the most dangerous
presidential candidate in recent memory.”
Milbank has
also listed all the other labels that have been given to Trump which he agrees
also apply. That being: “Sexist: Bigot. Xenophobe. Con man. Bully.
Authoritarian. Flip-flopper. Ignoramus. An entitled rich kid turned oft-failed
businessman.”
But just look
at why “Dangerous Donald” is such an
appropriate label.
·
His loose talk
about using nuclear weapons and starting trade wars.
·
The violence
at most of his events. (A 15-year-old
girl protesting Trump in Wisconsin was hit in the face with pepper spray by a
Trump supporter.)
·
Trump said
that: “There has to be some form of
punishment for women who have abortions if the procedure is outlawed”. (He later backed down on this after a
national outcry.)
·
His put-downs
of women, immigrants and racial minorities, especially Muslims.
·
His threat to
order the military to break laws by torturing and by targeting innocents.
·
His call to
ban all Muslims from entering America.
·
His continued
use of profanity while campaigning.
·
Sticking up
for his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski who was charged with battery for
the video of roughing up a female reporter.
This was the second time Lewandowski was in a filmed altercation.
·
Trump has
alternated between saying he would rescind the Iran nuclear deal and saying he
would enforce it vigorously.
·
He says he
would not rule out using tactical nuclear weapons against the Islamic State.
·
He promises to
“bomb the sh-- out of” the terrorist
groups which would also kill many innocent civilians
·
He says he
gets much of his national security advice from watching TV talk shows.
·
Trump says his
attending a military academy in high school counts as national security
experience.
·
Trump has
talked about bombing Iran.
·
He talks about
a 45% tariff on Chinese goods which would just increase the prices to US
consumers.
·
Trump said he
knows “more about ISIS than the US
generals do” and says he is his own best adviser on foreign affairs “because I have a very good brain.”
·
He praises the
virtues of not having a known military strategy. He wants to keep the world guessing. He said, “The
voters want to see unpredictability.” Really?
National
security is serious business, and nothing is more dangerous than an erratic
strongman who could send your children to war or could fire a nuclear weapon.”
Every day we
get more and more examples why having “Dangerous
Donald” as the US president would be a serious mistake.
Just look at a
couple of the latest polls:
·
Women’s Vote Action Fund, found that 58% of all likely voters
nationally have serious or very serious doubts about Trump being the US
president.
·
In a statement
highlighting Trump’s sexism and bigotry, 66% of those polled had serious, or
very serious doubts about Donald Trump.
·
53% described
Trump as xenophobic and 42% as an egomaniac.
I propose that
from now forward, we only refer to Donald J. Trump as: “Dangerous Donald”.
