DR.BEN CARSON: WITH AN EGO THAT HAS NO BOUNDS

…The Ego himself, Dr. Ben Carson
Dr. Carson’s presidential campaign
effectively rolled over the announcement from Carly Fiorina.
Any
politically astute Californian will recall the entertainment value of Carly
Fiorina’s “Demon Sheep” political ad
when she ran against Tom Campbell in the 2010 elections. Well, now that she has thrown her hat in the
ring for the GOP nomination for president,
she’s already been totally upstaged for that entertainment announcement prize.
Ms. Fiorina’s
announcement was totally over-shadowed when on the same day, Dr. Ben Carson
also made his presidential campaign announcement. And the Dr. totally made Ms. Fiorina the
victim of the Dr’s, over-the-top announcement and it definitely put her in the
back seat on the entertainment level.
Carly Fiorina,
the former H-P executive, in her bid for the Republican nomination, made a
traditional campaign kickoff approach. She announced her bid on “Good Morning America,” posted a short
announcement video and then took questions online. “This is a pivotal point for our nation, and so I think it’s totally
reasonable to look outside the political class that’s been in Washington for a
really long time,” she told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.
I personally think Ms. Fiorina is actually
running for the VP spot, not for the top spot.
She wants to show that the GOP
can also have a woman on the ticket.
But with Dr.
Carson’s ego being about the size of an aircraft carrier, his announcement
approach was the total opposite of Ms. Fiorina’s.
For those that
are not aware of this brilliant retired neurosurgeon, Dr. Carson is also a
gifted storyteller and charismatic speaker.
But his announcement was a perfect example that demonstrates that being
a modest person is not one of the Dr’s traits.
Based on his
five minute launching video, one would almost have expected to see someone like
George C. Scott appearing on the stage as General Patton. The video seems to compare the good Dr.
Carson to those on Mt. Rushmore including George Washing with visions of great
events such as the signing of the Declaration of Independence with pictures of
the American flag, a beautiful church, Martin Luther King Jr. and ending at
Abraham Lincoln’s Memorial at the Great Mall in Washington. All of this being narrated with a deep voice
implying that the Dr. should be compared to these other great American leaders.
In the video
you will also see the Empire State
Building, the Golden Gate Bridge,
a bald eagle, a snowcapped mountain and fields of wheat. All this bleeds into a picture of the great
Dr. Carson, reclining with what appears to be the Holy Bible at his side. The
deep voice states, “We can see this through
together, with a leader who derives his strength from God and his duty from the
American people.”
Everything
that is shown, George Washington, Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., and then
hearing the voices of the Selected of God
choir, all of this is to imply that Dr. Carson should be included in the same
company as all these great Americans.
Dr. Carson’s
positions, his provocations and his showmanship are all over-the-top including
Carson’s campaign video which was set to the music of the hip-hop producer,
Alexi von Guggenberg.
But there is a
big part about the Dr. that you don’t see.
What you don’t see is what it was that made Dr. Carson’s reputation just
a few years ago.
The great Dr.
originally came to prominence when he blasted President Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast calling Obama
a psychopath. Then he compared the
United States under Obama to that of Nazi Germany. Of course the big lie was when he stated that
Obamacare was “the worst thing to happen to America since slavery”. And let’s not forget that this doctor thinks
that being gay is a choice. Yes, this
brilliant surgeon actually believes that you are not born gay or straight. To him it’s all your personal choice.
If nothing
else, Dr. Carson does understand what it takes to get the mainstream media’s
attention.
In addition to
all his political knowledge, Dr. Carson says he’s not a politician. But he does have some traits that are similar
to another very famous non politician.
That being, Dr. Carson has more in line with the blow-hard Donald Trump
than those conservative politicians that he will be running against. Yes, when it comes to having a personal
attitude toward your own greatness, Dr. Ben Carson and Donald Trump are truly
cut from the same gigantic ego mold.
In his kickoff
speech at the Detroit Music Hall, the music included “America the Beautiful,” the “Battle
Hymn of the Republic” and, of course, the Mt. Rushmore-Lincoln-King-Dr.
Carson video.
Dr. Carson
does have that wonderful ability of developing his own idea of the truth. This man who called the president a
psychopath said that, “We have allowed
the purveyors of division to become rampant in our society.” Holding what appears to be a Bible, Carson
said he would make it to the White House
“if God ordains it.” Then an enormous flag descended at the back
of the stage, and the choirs again crooned the last bars of the “Battle Hymn”: “His truth is marching on.”
Man is this presidential campaign going to be
entertaining!
