THE REALITY IS IT’S “RACISM”, PURE & SIMPLE

…The Republican Congressman from
Alabama, Mo Brooks, that is trying to sell Obama’s supposed, “War on Whites”!
Even some conservative talk show
hosts are saying that the Republicans dearly need to expand their tent.
Well, I’m
going to break the on-going rule that no one wants to touch. That being that, whether we like it or not,
much of what is fueling the hate by the Republicans of our current president is
just good, ole, fashioned “Racism”. Yep, there I went and said it.
We keep
reading all these trumped up excuses that the, “GOP has made a shift to a more radical version of conservatism”, or
that even though the president is using his Executive
Orders much less than previous presidents, he has become a, “royalty president”, or has assumed a
position as a US, “President-King”.
Yeah right.
I think the
reality is that as Obama is an intelligent and capable politician, it is
killing the Republicans that this first Black president is out-performing
virtually all the previous Republican presidents and all the previous
Republican presidential candidates.
Obama and his team have done a great job after being handed the worst
financial disaster in 100 years and this is fueling the GOP’s disgust at seeing this capable Democratic politician
succeed. It has now grown to the point
where these individuals are actually and verbally saying out loud, “I really hate that Black S.O.B.!”
Seriously,
anyone that thinks that those Republican leaders that got together on the eve
of the president’s inauguration, for deciding how to make Obama a one-term
president, that saying his race had nothing to do with their dedication to that
effort, then you are seriously fooling yourself.
Everyone knows
that all previous US presidents, including Bill Clinton, had made full use of
their Executive Orders throughout
their terms. So, why is it that Obama’s
minimal use of those same orders has the opposition going crazy with their
accusations of it being a “Royal
Presidency”…?
Could it be
that the Republicans would then have to admit that the president has gone out
of his way in trying to come to a compromise with the GOP since he took office?
Even his own party has been upset with him for his many months of trying
to work with the opposition. A
normal, traditional politician such as Speaker
John Boehner, who initially tried to be a compromising politician until the
far-right wing of his own party said, “it’s our way, or the highway”, to both
the Speaker and the president’s
overtures for an early-on compromise.
Yes, if you
look at those that seriously talk like someone that really hates the president,
most of them are from those states that are known for years of blatant racism,
or of at least a real current divide between white Americans and the growing league of
non-white Americans.
Just look at
the latest inputs from Alabama Republican, Mo
Brooks (R-AL), who continues to double-down on his accusation that Obama,
in both the 2008 and 2012 elections, was pushing a “War on
Whites”. Yes, Mr. Brooks is actually
saying exactly that. And to support
this thinking, there is also now a focused article out there titled, “How Racism is Driving Political Polarization
in the Age of Obama”.
The reality is
that the Republicans are seeing the light that it won’t be long before this
nation is more Brown and Black than its previous centuries of being ruled by
a large population of white European Caucasians.
As the grumpy
old white men see that every month, another 5000 Hispanics turn 18 years old, and those
young people are finding out that they can decide almost any election whenever
they become united. And ½ of those 5000
Hispanics are women who vote more often than men and who want what the
Democrats want, versus that of the desires of the Republicans. These grumpy whites (such as Mr. Brooks) can see what is happening to their previous
ruling class and they will continue to blame Obama whenever they get the
chance.
Even on Fox News, the following comment was
made, “The fastest growing minority bloc
in this country thinks the Republican Party hates them. This party, cannot be the party of the future
beyond November, if you’re seen only as the party of white people.”
…The Conservative talk show host.
Laura Ingraham.
But Rep. Mo
Brooks begged to differ. When he was asked by the conservative talk show host, Laura Ingraham, to react to this remark,
he jumped at the chance.
Per Brooks: “This is a part of the war on whites that’s
being launched by the Democratic Party. And the way in which they’re launching
this war is by claiming that whites hate everybody else. It’s a part of the
strategy that Barack Obama implemented in 2008, continued in 2012, where he
divides us all on race, on sex, greed, envy, class warfare, all those kinds of
things. But that’s not true. Okay?
And if you look at the polling data, every
demographic group in America agrees with the rule of law, enforcing and
securing our borders. And every one of them understands that illegal
immigration hurts every single demographic group. It doesn’t make a difference
if you’re a white American, a black American, Hispanic American, an Asian
American or if you’re a woman or a man. Every single demographic group is hurt
by falling wages and lost jobs. And so
the Democrats, they have to demagogue on this and try and turn it into a racial
issue, which is an emotional issue, rather than a thoughtful issue. If it
becomes a thoughtful issue, then we win and we win big. And they lose and they
lose big. And they understand that and as they get more desperate, they are
going to argue race and things like that to a much heightened emotional state.
. . .’
Ingraham’s
response: “Er. . [C]ongressman, don’t you
think . . . that characterization is a little out there.”
Brooks Response: “But
that is, in effect, what they’re doing, though. That’s the political game that
they’re playing. . . .”
Ingraham: “No, they’re playing the ‘race’ card. They’re
playing the ‘race’ card just like they’re playing the ‘war on women’ card. This
is what the left does. But I just think that [your] phraseology might not be
the best choice.”
When a
fire-breathing conservative such as Laura Ingraham feels the need to call out a
fellow conservative, you know you’ve hit some serious pay dirt.
But the war on
whites concept has raged continuously in the right-wing mind for more than two
centuries. It’s the worst of possible
dichotomies. The Republican party knows
that they need a big tent to be a major party, but inviting those to the party
that you have been at war with since the American Civil War, that’s not really
a winning option.
The former House majority leader Dick Armey, told
the drafters of the GOP autopsy
report that said that more minorities were needed in the GOP’s future. “We’ve chased
the Hispanic voter out of his natural home.”
…The latest version of the GOP’s
party logo.
And Mr. Mo
Brooks is an example of why the Hispanics won’t be coming back to their natural
home anytime soon.
Yes, Mo Brooks
is correct that the current issue is racism.
But instead of it being, “Obama’s
war on whites”, it’s the GOP’s,
war on women, war on minorities, and Mr. Armey’s comment of the chasing of the Hispanics “out of their natural homes”.
Let’s hope
these people stay out, and never go home.
