MOVEMENTS WITHIN TRUMP ADMINISTRATION: OFF THE SCALE

The way many of us see the president.....

Dr. David Shulkin has joined three notable members in leaving the Trump Cabinet.

There are two graphs that are circulating the political world that really tell the story of a president that has no clue as to what he is doing.

The first graph is of all the individuals that have left the Trump Administration and how many days they served before they had resigned or were fired.

We were originally told that they were all going to be Geniuses and the “Best of the Best” and the president’s Cabinet, “were to have the highest IQ of any Cabinet ever assembled”.

If that’s the case, why have 48 “Geniuses ” left the Trump administration in the first year and 67 days from his assuming the office as the US President.

The second graph is one showing the number of changes within the president’s Cabinet within the first 450 days.  The only other presidents that had lost more cabinet members than Donald Trump, this early in their first term, were Harry Truman and Gerald Ford.  But that was because the first one was replacing the death of a 4 term Democratic president, and the second was replacing a Republican president that had resigned in disgrace.  No other Cabinet, chosen personally by the president's themselves, has lost this many members so soon.
Of those Cabinet members that have resigned or been fired, one was a former CEO of the fifty billion dollar ExxonMobil, one a former Marine general and another was a doctor who was confirmed by the Senate by a unanimous vote. Trump was overly proud of this team he had put together, but the results show he is obviously a poor judge of character, and of other’s abilities and their honesty.

And now, the president has fired another doctor, David Shulkin, who will be leaving his position as head of the Department of Veterans Affairs.  (And once again, this cabinet level individual learned he was fired in a Trump tweet saying who was replacing him.)  Shulkin will be replaced with Trump’s White House physician, Ronny Jackson, who knows absolutely nothing about running the second largest bureaucracy in the nation.

Shulkin has joined these three notable Cabinet members in leaving: Tom Price (the other congressman-doctor), Rex Tillerson (the CEO) and John Kelly (the general). Kelly however, moved to a different position in the administration (Chief-of-Staff), while the others were thrown out on their ears.

Trump’s Cabinet is larger than most, including not only the vice president plus the heads of 15 major administrative departments.

Those positions include the Secretary's of the Department of Labor and the Department of Agriculture, but also John Kelly, as chief of staff, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, the head of the Small Business Administration and some others.

However, all of the departures from Trump’s Cabinet have occurred among those 15 primary Cabinet positions.  That means that a quarter of that elite group is already gone. That rate of turnover in the first 450 days of an administration has not been seen except in those two previous periods of critical and unexpected changes.

Within the Trump administration, we’ve come to expect this kind of chaos. There are many ways in which one can measure important officials leaving the Trump administration or his personal team of attorneys. By analysis, the time that separates these high-profile resignations or terminations in the Trump White House has averaged only nine days.

Opps, this latest change has only been six days since the announcement of H.R. McMaster’s departure as national security adviser.

The longest this administration has gone without a high-profile departure was 39 days. The last time it went more than a week, was only a month ago.

Over the last weekend, there were rumors that Ben Carson, head of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, was also close to getting the boot.

If that is in the offing, the odds are good that it will happen by Friday of next week.

It is a very difficult process of keeping up with the movements going on in this Trump White House.
