AFTER ONE + YEAR IN OFFICE, HOW’S THAT “SWAMP DRAINING GOING?”

…That’s right, Trump has armed the ‘gators.

 

The Trump-Nation is more out-of-control than ever.

 

Talk about observing a government in total disarray!

 

Here we are, having a national opioid epidemic, while knowing we still need to finalize a $3.1 trillion “omnibus” spending bill that needs to be settled before the end of the week, just to keep the government from shutting down.  Add to that, unsettled issues in health care and immigration that are still unresolved, plus a bipartisan congress in a fight that could still cause our government to shut down.

 

So, with all this that is going on, where do we see all the attention of our mainstream media?

 

They are seen showing a president going after the special Russian investigation after his having his AG fire a deputy FBI director just hours before the director’s retirement.

 

You also have a bizarre situation of a porn star that wants to tell her story about having a previous sexual relationship with the current US president, who insists the relationship never occurred.  However, the president’s lawyer says that there was a non-disclosure agreement with the porn star for not discussing anything about what she says was a year-long sexual relationship……?

 

While this is going on, we get the word of another student shooting at a high school in Maryland while there’s a serial bomber in Austin, Texas, that has so far set off 7 bombing attacks.  All of this while there are primary elections starting over the country that are all for the general mid-term elections coming in November.

 

And this above activity has nothing to do with all the personal information that was stolen by a company from millions of Facebook users and that was sold to the Trump campaign and was used in the attempts to influence the 2016 presidential election.

 

Oh, and this doesn’t take into consideration what the US military is going to do in the future in Afghanistan and Pakistan where we have been involved for over 17 years in the longest ever American war.

 

And, what was the question of the day on the Morning Joe program on MSNBC?  “Was the war in Iraq worth it and did it make things better or worse for the US in the Middle East?”

 

While we have all of this activity going on, there is still no answer for the DACA kids that were brought to the US when they were children.  And let’s not forget the on-going arguments for and against the southern border wall that was supposed to be paid for by Mexico. 

 

In addition, there is a major argument occurring regarding Obamacare where it had previously been approved to restarted the “cost-sharing reduction” payments made to insurers under the ACA, but that was all ended by Trump last Fall. Those payments would have been made retroactively and continued for three years, but today they are in total limbo.

 

But folks,  it still doesn’t stop there.

The president has now hired a conspiracy attorney that has gone on the FOX network and accused the FBI of conspiring to get rid of the president.  And this new attorney for the president says this conspiracy is being driven by the current special prosecutor, Robert Mueller.

 

And finally, during the 2016 campaign, President Trump had stated something to the affect that, “No one knows the system better that I do……..and that’s why I’m the only one that can fix it!”

 

If this is fixing the system, thinking about moving to Canada is starting to look like a reasonable prospect.
