TRUMP'S QUESTIONABLE MENTAL CONDITION
Donald Trump on MORNING JOE: a
program the president now hates because they tell the truth.
Many of those in the White House
believe Trump is not well.
I have been
saying for months that Donald Trump was a mental case. I have said that, ever since he came down his
gold plated escalator in his Trump Towers to announce that he was a 2016
presidential candidate. Well, based on
recent examples of strange behavior, now people are asking if perhaps Trump is in the initial
phases of Alzheimer’s. Trump was slurring his speech in a recent announcement
and he is now scheduled for a medical exam by his military physicians at Walter
Reed Hospital. White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that
President Trump will undergo a physical exam in January
I was
surprised when I learned that the president of the United States "is not
required" to have an annual physical. The
decision to have an exam is totally up to the president. But even Trump’s own personal physician is
changing the bizarre statement he made during the 2016 campaign that: “If elected, Donald Trump would be the
healthiest president to ever enter the White House.” He now says that he was under pressure for a
statement by the Trump campaign and the statement didn’t come out the way it
should have…..YA THINK?
After
observing the president over this past year, I more than seriously question his Doctor’s
original statement, and apparently so do a number of other observers.
One of his issues
could be Trump’s diet of fast food. One
of Trump’s White House associates has said that Trump’s four basic food groups are: “McDonalds, KFC, Pizza and Diet Coke”. Trump does not drink alcohol, but recently
while traveling, he consumed two Big Mac’s, two Filet of Fish sandwiches and a
chocolate shake. In that one meal, he
had consumed a total of 2,600 calories, and that was just for lunch. Trump is more of a junk-food junkie than was
Bill Clinton, who eventually ended up having a quadruple bypass surgery.
But I digress.
You will recall how Trump spent much of his campaign
rhetoric questioning Hillary’s stamina to be president of the United States.
But it is now Trump’s own fitness that is being scrutinized by his friends and foes
alike. After Trump spent recent weeks creating a level of chaos in Washington,
Capitol Hill politicians and media outlets are quietly questioning whether
Trump is fit for the highest office in the land. Most of us have been saying
that he isn’t fit, but unfortunately, we are stuck with him for the time
being. That the commander in chief
slurred his way through the end of a speech on Jerusalem, that was just the
latest in a string of strange incidents.
The truth is
that many of those around him in the White
House believe Trump is not well.
Some White House insiders have
told Vanity
Fair magazine that Trump is “unraveling”
mentally. Even Trump's favorite, regular early-morning paper, the New
York Daily News, in an editorial they said that “the President of the United States is profoundly unstable. He is mad.
He is, by any honest layman’s definition, mentally unwell and is viciously
lashing out.”
Now, that is a
conclusion that was reached long ago by many of the president’s own staff. More
than a few politicians and reporters across Washington have privately shared those fears. But because he is the president, no one wants to be the one that goes on record
pointing that out. Therefore, this less
than capable narcissist will continue to take the country down the drain. Hopeful the Mueller investigation will be
able to put it to a stop. But would that
just mean we could get Mike Pence. No
one is sure that would be much of an improvement.
I have never
been a big fan of Senator Bob Corker (R-TN), but he did openly question Trump’s
competence and suggested that administration officials are doing little more
than quote: “Running an adult day care
center.” This chairman of the Senate
Foreign Relations Committee also expressed fear that the president’s
erratic behavior is putting the United States “on the path to World War III.”
Some WAPO opinion writers are becoming very
bold in their criticism of the president.
Op-ed writer, Jennifer Rubin has offered the probability of an eventual
impeachment of Trump or of the Congress enacting the 25th Amendment in this
Trump era.
To show how
open this attitude is about the president, even Trump's own national security adviser,
H.R. McMaster was reported to have said that, “Trump has the mind of a kindergartner.” You have probably heard that three
individuals have said that after a meeting at the Pentagon, the Secretay of
State, Rex Tillerson was heard to have called the president a “moron”.
To this day, the Secretary has not denied that he had called the president a moron.
A highly
recognizable Republican, Steve Schmidt, John McCain’s former campaign manager
said just last week that “the question of
his [Trump’s] fitness, of his stability is in the air.”
Schmidt is
right. With the pace of the headlines detailing Trump’s bizarre behavior
continuing, so, too, are questions about his well-being.
The New
York Times’s Maggie Haberman,
along with The Post’s, Robert Costa,
both described Trump’s recent behavior as “unmoored.”
She told CNN, “Something is unleashed with him lately. I don’t know what is causing
it. I don’t know how to describe it.” Haberman’s long history covering
Trump makes her searing observations highly troubling.
As another
example, the president has spent the past few weeks insulting the United
States’ closest allies, re-tweeting anti-Muslim videos from far-right activists, He also has given us racist slurs at a ceremony honoring Native American veterans. He has privately embraced conspiracy theories
related to his “Access Hollywood” tape and of course, again about Barack Obama’s
birthplace. He has since slandered CNN International, and is now pushing another
bizarre conspiracy theory.
Any Fortune
500 company would have fired a chief executive exhibiting Trump’s
erratic behavior. Unfortunately, the current Washington GOP leaders are strategically
positioned to limit the damage and they seem to be frozen by their political fear.
The
president’s meltdown has come at an extremely perilous time. National security insiders have been fretting
about the possibility of a war on the Korean Peninsula, and now with the
president’s announcement about Jerusalem being the Capital of Israel, who knows
what we are in for from that part of the world?
Administration sources have admitted that their greatest fear is their
own commander in chief’s instability.
Back in August
2016, Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough reported on “Morning Joe” that
then-candidate Trump had horrified foreign policy briefers by how he mentioned
the option of using nuclear weapons on countries such as North Korea and Iran.
During an
interview with Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s
Hardball, Trump refused to rule
out the use of nuclear weapons in Europe and the Middle East. Mika had grimly
warned viewers that a Trump presidency could lead to nuclear war. She seems to have possibly been proven correct.
Let’s face the
facts. If the Republicans don’t find their bearings soon, it may be America’s
safety and security that will be the next to go.
There was another terrorist Attack in New York's Port Authority Terminal. Is this the beginning of that loss of safety and Security?
