HAS TRUMP STARTED ANOTHER NEVER-ENDING WAR?

…. Muslim’s in the West Bank living as did their nomad ancestors

Trump’s fulfilling of a campaign promise could be a deadly decision.

President Trump used the old truism that: “Continually doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result is not reasonable,” and this is a correct assumption.  But upending decades of US policy by formally recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, without explaining how this will cause the middle east peace process to advance, is extremely unreasonable.  Oh, and by also announcing the relocation of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which could derail the current White House peace efforts and spark unrest throughout the Muslim world.  This is not a thoughtful and reasonable approach to a 70 year old issue, and centuries old rebellion.

The president could at least have stated what the strategy was for the next steps of this so called “peace making” announcement, after making such a potential life-changing announcement.  Seriously, I doubt that this president has considered such a strategy.

Granted, doing the same thing over and over while looking for a different result is not the right direction.  But it is again appearing that all Trump has done is attempt to fulfill a campaign promise with a knee-jerk approach, without thinking the whole plan through.

And that’s just one issue

What about the statement that they intend to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem and that it would only take 3-4 years.  All the experts have said that is way too optimistic of a time line.

You don’t find a location in Jerusalem, acquire the property, design a super-secure embassy facility, in a location where every shovel full of dirt could turn up historical artifacts that could be from centuries ago for either the Jews, the Muslims or the Christians.  It could take years just to identify and catalog any historical artifacts.

White House aides have declared that Trump will sign a waiver maintaining the embassy’s current location in Tel Aviv because the process of moving it will take so long.

The president recently started informing his counterparts in the region of this latest decision.  This prompted the expected warnings from several countries that his move would inflame Muslims world-wide and it would disrupt any recent progress toward a peace deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians. (These are the peace talks that were being handled by Trump’s own son-in-law, Jared Kushner.)  US allies across Europe, including Great Britain, France and Germany, also have opposed such a change in US policy.  The State Department, expecting this Trump announcement, had already sent a classified memo to all US embassies in the Middle East late last month warning of potential anti-American protests.

Nabil Shaath, an adviser to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, said Abbas had personally briefed him on his call to President Trump.  Abbas had told Trump that he would “not accept it” and warned that the president was “playing into the hands of extremism.”
Days of Rage” have already erupted in the Jerusalem’s West Bank as the Israeli Military sent tear-gas into the Palestinian mobs that were heaving rocks and other heavy items.

In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Press Agency used “Al-Quds”, the Arabic name for Jerusalem, saying that Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz warned Trump, “That such a dangerous step of relocation or recognition of Al-Quds as the capital of Israel would constitute a flagrant provocation of Muslims, all over the world.”

When the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the Turkish Parliament, he stated that, “American recognition of Jerusalem would be a ‘red line’ for Muslims”. Trump’s move would possibly force Turkey to again, cut diplomatic ties with Israel that were recently renewed after a six-year interruption.

As expected, White House officials said Trump’s decision was the fulfillment of a key campaign promise that strangely has bipartisan support in Congress….?  They said that the move will not fundamentally change other aspects of US policy. As an example, they said, “Trump remains supportive of a two-state solution, if that’s what the parties agree to, and the administration is maintaining the status quo on Jerusalem’s holy sites,” whatever that is supposed to mean….?

Trump just doesn’t understand that for devout Jews, Muslims and Christians, Jerusalem has been a center for them all, and all of these religions would in their own way consider this city as their “sacred religious capital”.  To say that Jerusalem is only the capital for the Jews is particularly upsetting to the world’s Muslims.  As if they needed another reason to go to war with the Jews in Israel.

But from President Trump’s very simple mind, he is just recognizing his reality that Jerusalem has historically been Israel’s capital and that most of the Jewish nation’s government, including the prime minister’s office, the Supreme Court and the legislature, they are already based there.

But that point that has been being made since the United Nation’s agreement to the formation of Israel in 1948. The Jews in Israel have purposely organized and built their base in Jerusalem with the idea that if they settled there, and filled it with their people, it will eventually become their capital by default.

This is why there is so much effort against the Jews and against President Trump for taking the side of the Jews over the Palestinians.

What no one wants to admit is that for the Jews in Jerusalem, there is no way in a vote between the Jews and the Muslims, where the Jews would win.  The Muslims have always seriously outnumbered the Jews.

For centuries, the Muslims have been unorganized nomads, while the Jews were the highly organized intellectuals.  Because the Jews have been so outnumbered, this is why they have focused on being well organized and have always depended on the support of the US for helping make Israel their home, in spite of their being out numbered by Muslims.

Trump’s decision will not only bring major violence between the two, it could also begin another, never-ending war between the Muslims and the Jews.

This will also immediately get the Muslim extremists in Iran and other Muslim nations involved for supporting the Palestinians.

To emphasize that this has not been well thought out, the White House advisers said they recognizes that “some parties” might react negatively....DUH!   We are still working on our plan, which is not yet ready,” said this official, who was not authorized to speak on the record.  They said: “We have time to get it right and see how people feel after this news is processed over the next period of time.”
The up-shot of this decision is much more far reaching than just the fulfilling Trump's campaign promise.  Many of our allies feel that this latest decision is Trump telling the world that with him as president, the United States can no longer be trusted for keeping its word.

This is just another example of why Donald J. Trump is not qualified to be the leader of the world’s most powerful nation and the leader of the free, democratic world.
