ANOTHER PUBLICATION TELLS THE TRUTH ABOUT PRESIDENT TRUMP
…Omarosar was the latest to leave
her position at the White House
USA TODAY’s editorial board makes
their position against the president crystal clear.
The USA TODAY publication is a somewhat
mundane daily newspaper. But such as it is,
it has seriously portrayed just how bad a president is Donald J. Trump. This occurred when the USA TODAY editorial board recently published the following as their
lead editorial: "With his latest tweet, clearly implying that a United States
senator would trade sexual favors for campaign cash, President Trump has shown
he is not fit for the office." The editorial also reads: "Rock bottom is no impediment for a president
who can always find room for a new low."
The reference
here is to Trump's tweet this week in which he said that Democratic Senator,
Kirsten Gillibrand of New York had been formerly "begging him” for campaign
contributions not long ago "and that
she would do ‘anything’ for receiving them," implying that she would
have offered sex for his donations.
USA Today has never been known for its blistering opinions. That alone makes this
paper's editorial board’s offering on President Donald Trump that much more offensive
to the president.
Of course,
when asked about the tweet, the White
House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders insisted that only people
with their minds "in the gutter"
could possibly conclude that there was sexual innuendo in Trump’s tweet
language.
Apparently, Ms.
Sanders has never really listened to Trump’s comments on the Access
Hollywood video, and she has ignored the fact that nineteen individual
women have accused this president of sexual harassment and abuse. Women that he says he didn’t even know nor
had he ever met. But there is proof-positive
that this response is just one of the president’s many daily lies to the public.
USA Today’s editorial board has also not agreed with Trump’s statement that he “didn’t know any of his accusers”.
Even though
this daily publication doesn’t usually go to these extremes on their editorial
page, this was not the first time they have made their views on Trump's fitness
for office known to their readers.
Before the
2016 election, the editorial board went against its long-standing tradition of
not endorsing a candidate in presidential elections. The then editorial was entitled "Trump is 'unfit for the presidency."
It wasn't so much an endorsement of
Hillary Clinton as it was an anti-endorsement of Trump. It read: "This year, the choice isn't between two capable major party nominees
who happen to have significant ideological differences. This year, one of the candidates --
Republican nominee Donald Trump -- is, by unanimous consensus of the Editorial
Board, unfit for the presidency."
Trump will
undoubtedly add the USA TODAY's
editorial board to what he calls the “Fake
Press” or to the list of biased liberal news media who hate the President. He will also probably add that they and the “failing” NEW YORK TIMES, and the “lying”
WASHINGTON POST are all being blind
to the everyday realities of the average American, and blah, blah, blah.
For a group of
Republicans loyal to Trump, that rhetoric will probably work. But USA Today is very far from being a leftist
operation. And the disdain from every word of the editorial board's condemning
of the president is definitely searing.
But the
following words at the end the editorial, are the real truth: "A president who shows such disrespect for
the truth, for ethics, for the basic duties of the job and for decency toward
others fails at the very essence of what has always made America great." (Yes,
this is what made America great.)
To also
support the fact that Donald Trump will probably go down in history as the
worst ever American President, his administration has been losing its team
members on a record level. And I don’t
mean the lower level White House individuals. He has lost his Chief-of Staff, multiple
Press Secretaries and Communications Directors, as well at his Senior Strategy
Adviser and the Secretary of HHS, just to mention a few. To date, it’s a record loss of well over 30
individuals that have left the Trump administration, just in his first year
One of the
most recent losses was Omarosa Manigault.
Omarosa was a
former contestant on Trump’s “The Apprentice” reality TV show and after
the election, Trump had made her the Director
of African-American Outreach. She had
an office inside the White House and
she is known for a commitment to Trump like no other supporter.
Here is what
she stated on national TV after Trump had been elected: “Every
critic, every detractor, will have to bow down to President Trump. It’s everyone who’s ever doubted Donald,
whoever disagreed, whoever challenged him — it is the ultimate revenge to
become the most powerful man in the universe.”
Too bad for
Omarosa that what she had said, will probably go down in history as that of someone
that had seriously “drank the Trump
Kool-Aid”. Whatever caused her to
leave her White House role this week,
she is officially still employed until January 20, 2018.
Well, at least
it won’t be said that the Trump Administration was a boring administration.
