THERE IS NO REASON FOR DR. BEN CARSON TO BE LEADING IN THE POLLS

…The crowds coming to see the crazy doctor.

 

When are these Americans going to wake up?

 

I had stayed away from Dr. Ben Carson because as with Donald Trump, I had expected both to be gone by now, or at least to be falling in the polls.  But as usual, the American voters have taught me another lesson that “what we opinion writers think is only as good as yesterday’s newspaper”.

 

So now with Carson’s whining about all the media scrutiny he’s dealing with, it’s time to put the good doctor front and center and tell it like it is.

 

How can the Dr’s. mouth, as one opinion writer referred to as a, “weapon of mass destruction”, because of statements such as the following:

 

“…the pyramids of Egypt were built by the biblical patriarch Joseph as grain silos, rather than by Egyptians as pharaonic tombs”

 

“…the first black president is like most psychopaths”

 

“…the Affordable Care Act as the worst thing since slavery.  We live in a Gestapo age.”

 

“…Gayness must be a choice, because prisoners who are raped come out gay.”

 

“…The Big Bang theory is a “fairy tale” and the notion of evolution was encouraged by the devil.”

 

“…Nope, I don’t see any global warming.” (Anywhere)

 

“…Nope, I don’t see any racism.”  (In regards to the Ferguson, MO issues)

 

“…Planned Parenthood is a plot to kill black babies.

 

“…We need to get rid of Medicare.”

 

Then there’s his relationship that he says he didn’t have with the controversial dietary supplement company Mannatech.  But if you Google it, you will find the testimonial he did about how he beat prostate cancer while taking Mannatech's dietary supplements.

 

Carson has said he had a violent childhood and that he went after his mother with a hammer and he had tried to stab someone, but a belt buckle broke the knife blade.  But many of these stories of his early childhood have not been able to be confirmed.  His mother had previously confirmed that he was an unruly child, but she no longer remembers as she now suffers from Alzheimer’s.

 

In one of Dr. Carson’s books he wrote: “The professor came toward me. With her was a photographer for the Yale Daily News who paused and snapped my picture. A hoax,’ the teacher said. ‘We wanted to see who was the most honest student in the class.’ ” Mr. Carson then wrote that the professor handed him a $10 bill.

 

The Yale Daily News never ran an article or a picture of student Carson and none of the individuals that were interviewed from his Yale class could substantiate the story.

 

Today, Dr. Carson, the retired neurosurgeon and novice politician who is a leader in the GOP presidential race is aggrieved that journalists are looking into his background. But we have learned that he was not really “offered a full scholarship” to West Point, as he has claimed.  It turns out that some individuals did tell him he could easily get nominated and probably be admitted, but he wasn’t “offered” a scholarship”.  In fact, if you are nominated and accepted to any US Military University, your tuition is paid in full by the US Government.

 

Was he previously as much of the juvenile delinquent as he says? At this point, it’s hard to say.

 

Now Dr. Carson says, “I do not remember this level of scrutiny for one President Barack Obama when he was running. In fact, I remember just the opposite. I remember people saying, ‘Oh, we won’t really talk about that. We won’t talk about that relationship [of Obama’s].

 

That statement is totally ridiculous.  Even the networks have now reported as to how many hundreds of stories about Obama were printed, and that’s just the ones in newspapers.  There were hundreds about President Obama and his pastor Jeremiah Wright and his relationship with the activist Bill Ayers.  Obama’s friendships and associations were unearthed, reported and talked about incessantly. The stories Obama had told in his books were continually checked for the truth. Critics suggested he was a secret Muslim while at the same time even holding him personally responsible for the sermons given by his Christian pastor.

 

Since Dr. Carson has never been in an elected office, he has never had to be vetted for any public position.  Therefore, for the most important position of power in the free world, all the public has for vetting the good doctor is his history and his many books that relate to his past.  Now that differences are showing up that don’t square with what he has written, he’s getting upset that he’s not turning out to be the pure and honest religious person as he has been selling himself to all of America.

 

I just hope the American people will wake up to both “The Donald” and “Dr. Ben Carson” before it gets us all in trouble.
