THE REAL DONALD TRUMP

…Will this man become America’s first CEO?

 

Donald Trump may have been a great university student, but I doubt he ever took a class in US Government?

 

This week I heard a female Muslim author being interviewed on a TV news program and the show’s host asked the author, “If you could say anything to Donald Trump, what would you say?”  Her answer to that question was excellent and it brought up something that I have been saying for months.

 

The author said, “I don’t care if he understands Muslims.  I don’t care if he hates Muslims.  But as a presidential candidate, I do wish he understood the US Constitution.  For a presidential candidate to want to register people in America, only based on their religion, that is not understanding the most basic provision of the US Constitution.”

 

Hear, hear madam.

 

I have been saying over and over, “With Donald Trump’s off-the-wall ideas of presidential leadership, why in the hell is he still leading in the polls?  Other than saying he wants to “Build a Wall!“ “Send them all back!” and “Bomb the crap out of ISIS!, what specifics of presidential leadership have we heard from Mr. Trump.”

 

Per "The Donald", all we hear is :

 

·       “I will make America so great again, better than before!!!”  Then we ask: “How Donald?”  His answer: "Trust me"………….

 

·       “I will be the best ‘Jobs’ president ever!!!”  Then we ask again, “How Donald?”  His answer: Silence………

 

·       “I will be the best president for women!!!  We ask, “How would you be the best for women?”  His answer: Silence……

 

·       “I will negotiate better trade agreement than the current stupid people in US government!!!”  We ask: “Why would your deals be better?”  Answer: Trust me!!!

 

·       “ I will take better care of our vets than any president has!!!”  We ask: “What would you do differently?”  Answer: Trust me!

 

·       “I will make our military so strong, no one would ever challenge us!!!”  We ask: “How will you get the Congress to pay for that?  Answer: I’ll just tell them to approve the bills!

 

Even when he presents what he calls a “paper on policies”, the papers never get into the “weeds” of the policy.  They all go just so far, and then they stop!

 

I hear the pundits in the mainstream media always saying that, “Donald is just saying what the American people want to hear!”   Really……the American people really don’t want to know the details of Trump’s proposals?

 

The Muslim author being interviewed was totally correct..  Trump has no real understanding of how the government works.  He says that since he is a successful businessman, running the country is “piece of cake!”  According to him, he can do it with one hand tied behind his back. 

 

Sorry Donald, being a CEO is like being a dictator.  Your word in the corporation is law.  In a democracy, the president has to deal with a Congress, the Supreme Court and the American public.

 

The American public today is obviously upset with a group of Washington politicians that aren’t doing their jobs, so they are looking outside the party at those like Trump and Dr. Carson.  Unfortunately, these guys would get swallowed by the Lobbyists and those that do know their way around the politics.

 

President Jimmy Carter found out the truth about how Washington can swallow the outsiders.  And at least President Carter had been a governor that understood how things work at the state level..  Neither of these latest outsiders have a clue of what to expect.

 

Will the Republicans ever wake up before they anoint a 2016 nominee?  Weeks ago I said these outsiders would be gone by now…..that was a big OOPS, but it shows how desperate the American voters are today.

 

The next six months should be very interesting.
