MORE PROOF THAT THE “G.O.P,” REALLY STANDS FOR, “GRUMPY OLD PEOPLE”

Today’s “establishment Republicans” makes previous Republicans seem like “liberal Democrats”.

It is amazing that the Republicans can still get elected, even though they continue to have a war on women, on Hispanics and Asians, gays, lesbians, and now a war on the poor.

Yes, a so called “establishment GOP candidate”, Thom Tillis, won his senate primary this week in North Carolina.  But this “establishment” Republican is more of a right-wing Tea Party member than the actual Tea Party candidate that lost the primary to Tillis.

Tillis was the former North Carolina state Speaker of the House where he drove the approval of the strictest voter ID law in the country.  He is also for “personhood”, he’s pro-life and pro-death penalty.  (How can you be both pro-life and pro-death penalty????) He is anti-minimum wage increases, anti-unemployment insurance, anti-Medicaid expansion, anti-climate change, anti-Obamacare, anti-Sunday voting, pro-big business and pro tax cuts for corporations and the rich.

Here is what the Liberal radio talk show host, Randi Rhodes, had to say about Mr. Tillis winning the North Carolina Senate primary:  Speaking of old ideas, Republican Thom Tillis - who won last night's GOP Senate primary in North Carolina - seems to want to bring back the idea of throwing the old & frail out on the curb - which we stopped doing during the Depression, thanks to FDR and the Democrats. Tillis says that we need to "divide and conquer all the people who are on [financial] assistance."
Thom, we're supposed to conquer poverty, not conquer the poor. But I gotta give it to the Republicans on this: at least they pick fights they can win. Democrats try to conquer things like poverty, injustice, or climate change. Republicans just want to kick the ass of poor people. Hey, but that's achievable for them, right?
The other old news item that surfaced this week is how the “Fox Talkers” have now put the former 2nd lady, Lynne Cheney, on Fox News to hear her idea about the latest article in Vanity Fair by Monica Lewinsky.

At Fox News, they're floating Cheney’s theory that it’s the Clintons that are behind Monica Lewinsky's new essay in Vanity Fair.  I’m not kidding.  The right-wingers thinks that the Clintons were behind the Monica article for generating sympathy for Hillary.  This is because the strategy is that the Clintons want people talking about this now, not later, if Hillary does decide to run……Right!!!!

Lynne Cheney and the Fox group keep saying that the Clinton’s strategy is to get this out now and then later it will just be “old news”.

Well Lynne. it already is “old news”.  You do remember that it happened in the 90's, about 16 years ago.  And nobody needs a "strategy" to label something "old news" when it actually happened in the previous millennium!

So, just how old is the Monica story? Well, It's older than Benghazi, but Benghazi has proven that being old has never stopped the right-wing from dragging old stuff out to be beaten to death one more time.

Let’s face it, the Republicans are just a bunch of old, angry, tired white men and all they know is to drag out the old stuff.  They seldom have anything new to offer.

It is really important that the younger American voters of all colors, nationalities, sexual persuasions, and all the veterans, go to the polls and get rid of these imposters.  They only stand for the tired, old stuff, not the next generation ideas that will put this nation back on top in innovation and higher education.  If we can set them all back a ways, they'll have to re-start their propaganda.  They will have to regroup, and they'll have to re-think their whole programs, and they’ve proven that they're not very good at doing any of those.
