TRUMP IS THREATENING AMERICA’S “RULE OF LAW”

…This is the president we need to shed.

 

According to Right-Wing Media, attacks on Trump will lead to a civil war.

 

I have to admit that I have contributed to all the “hand wringing” over Trump’s bizarre statements that contend that there really are “very fine people that hang around with swastika waving neo-Nazi’s and white supremacists”.  The reality is, that this is nothing new for the current ranting of the current White House’s ignorant and narcissistic bigot that continues to defend the white racists, anti-Semite, Muslim haters.

 

Anyone that has been listening to Trump for the last ten years has to come away knowing that this man that used lie after lie to obtain this nation’s votes, was also someone that thoroughly lacked any moral scruples or the decency of having human empathy.

 

Trump’s press conference after the Charlottesville riots is just a distillation of the real Donald J. Trump.   Trump is also incapable of the concept of strategic thinking.  That being, thinking head of what he says one, two, or three steps ahead.  All he has ever done is react to what he thinks at the time is what he needs to do for his personal self-interest.

 

Just look at his history.  Trump is the classic “Con man from the Queens.”  Trump conned banks into loaning him money that he later said: “He knew he would never have to pay it all back.”  He conned all those suckers that believed that they would learn to make millions by attending his bogus “Trump University”.  He conned all those small businesses that did work for him in building his casinos and hotels, that he then stiffed by not paying their legit billings.

And worst of all, he has conned the American public about bringing jobs and manufacturing back to the US, when he himself doesn’t have any of his Trump labeled products (except his Make America Great Again hats), that are made by US manufacturers.

 

Trump falsely casts himself as a president that is continually being chased by evil Washington forces that are out to remove him from office.

 

And according to Trump, the current Trump-Russia investigation, he Tweets: “You are witnessing the single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history-led by some very bad and conflicted people.”

 

The reality is, and let’s be clear: That is not a woe-is-me lament from Trump. His “they’re-out-to-get-me” message is aimed at his supporters, including the Charlottesville shock troops. It is instead, a Trump call to arms.

 

That is because Trump is spooked.  Being spooked we now know that that Trump is playing with the basic foundation of the nation’s “Rule of Law”.

Special counsel, Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election is bad enough. But that investigation has now led to another possible case of Trump’s obstruction of government.  Apparently the announcement of that possibility has crossed one pf Trump’s personal “red lines”.  That being the idea of investigating the president and his family’s pre-campaign financial dealings with those Russian oligarchs.  As it was with the infamous Watergate investigations, when dealing with investigations of Donald J Trump, one must “ follow the money” and examine those Trump family tax returns and other suspicious former financial actions.

 

Even the radio blow-hard, Rush Limbaugh has made it seem obvious that the government is going after the president.  He did this in his recent commentary telling his radio audience that the Washington establishment is going after Trump. “These people are trying to take this president out,” Limbaugh declared. 

 

The nasty-mouthed, national talk-radio host, Michael Savage also took up the call, warning his millions of listeners with the bogus claim that “the left is out to take down Trump. If it’s done through Mueller or any other source . . . there will be a civil war in this country.”

Why there would be a civil war if Trump is found to be guilty of obstruction of justice is beyond me.  He currently only has a 33% approval on a national basis with three major national polling operations.  How would a president with that low of national approval cause a civil war…..?  You will recall that he lost the popular vote by 3 million votes.

 

But Savage didn’t stop there. He continued with the following bizarre statement that really causes me to scratch my head: “Remove Trump from office,” Savage said, “and that is what’s going to happen in this country.” He added, “You have not yet seen mob violence in this country. . . . You haven’t seen the thing I’m telling you is coming in this country. I’m warning you. All of you leftists who think you’re going to steal our vote, you’re wrong,” Savage said.  “We’ve had it up to here. . . . If you do the next step and steal our president, I warn you. You’ve seen nothing yet.”

 

Getting a warning like that from a big mouth like Michael Savage is totally laughable, but then, we did have the Charlottesville riots.  But many of Trump’s supporters are finally starting to question a president who  hasn’t been able to fulfill most of those promises that he lied about to the country when he was running for office.

And what about his rotating White House staff?

 

Just look at how many of those that he had installed in the White House that are already unprecendentedly gone after only 7 months in office:  All of the following have been replaced or their position is left open:  The White House Chief of Staff, the White House Press Secretary, the National Security Advisor, the White House Chief Strategist, Senior Advisor - Carl Ichan, and in addition, his Attorney General had to recuse himself for lying to the Senate Confirmation Committee.  Other former quasi-advisors such as Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, Keith Kellogg, Joe Schmitz and Walid Phares, they have all since disappeared.  Mueller’s investigation may conclude that some of these individuals are keys to the connections of Trump’s campaign to the Russians.  This connection was apparently occurring long before and during the 2016 election.  (Word on the street now says that Kellyanne Conway may also be leaving soon.)

 

The group Media Matters for America has compiled a string of right-wing figures that are beating the: “attacks on Trump will lead to a civil war” drum:

 

● Trump adviser Roger Stone, on “The Alex Jones Show,” predicted that Robert Mueller “is going to indict our president despite the facts, and he’s going to spark a civil war in this country.”

 

● Pat Buchanan, in a commentary, said this country “is approaching something of a civil war where the capital city seeks the overthrow of the sovereign and its own restoration.”  Buchanan also declared that “the appointment of a special prosecutor was a feature of the deep state-media coup” to destroy Trump.

Starting a civil war is apparently the latest Trump "talking point".

 

The right-wing media, stoked by Trump, is telling the public audience that Mueller’s investigation is cover for bringing him, the president, to his knees.  Let's hope so.

 

Thus we have the Trump campaign against special counselor Mueller.  Trump’s effort is for bringing the special counsel to public contempt and to sow disrespect for the whole investigation.  Trump is actually attempting to say that he should be the one to determine whether he is accountable under the law.  And he will then decide if the interest of justice should be served…..right!  I think we all know what Donald Trump’s decision on that issue would be….”not guilty”.

 

If you are sickened as I was by Trump’s accommodation of hatred in Charlottesville, consider his attempted undermining of the Justice Department-approved special-counsel probe.  Nothing less than the rule of law is at stake in what this president is trying to achieve.

 

It’s disgusting and despicable what we are seeing from this president, but stay tuned....it could get much worse.
