U.S. COUNTIES THAT VOTED TRUMP ARE WORTH LESS THAN TRUMP’S CABINET MEMBERS COMBINED

Trump’s Billionaire Cabinet is worth a combined $2.3 billion, 2,519 U.S. Counties earn less than that total.

The issue is actually worse than that.  Yes, overall, 80% of the counties in America earn less than the combined value of those members of Trump’s wealthy cabinet. But the worst part is that 86% of the counties that voted for Trump, they earn less than the members of Trump’s cabinet.

And based on the decisions that Trump has been making for the nation’s future, most of those decisions would actually be the hardest on those individuals that voted for Trump.

As an example, by focusing on a dying industry like coal mining, instead of offering them opportunities for re-training for new careers that would have higher pay and less health issues, he wants to keep them at a disadvantage in a dying career.  In addition, had his and Ryan’s heath care bill passed, more of his voters would have lost their health care or their available medical facilities that they currently depend on such as Planned Parenthood and local health care clinics started by the ACA.

Only 8% of Trump-voting counties have a cumulative annual income greater than the $3.9 billion of which Forbes says the president himself is worth. Only 2% of the Trump voting counties earn more annually than the $10 billion Trump falsely claims to be worth.

This, of course, falls into the same trap that Trump has exploited to inflate his electoral success last year. Most of his rural counties don’t have very many people, which is also why, cumulatively, they don’t earn as much in income annually. The counties that tend to beat the $2.3 billion in annual income tend to be counties that include large cities. And, as a result, a map of where incomes beat the Trump staff’s net worth looks like a political electoral map.  Most of those counties that beat that $2.3 billion in earnings, they did not vote for Trump.

The swaths of U.S. counties that earn less each year than what Trump's people are worth is massive, and only a few pockets, mostly on the two coasts and the southwest are the exceptions.
