TRUMP APPARENTLY THINKS THAT PUTIN’S KILLING OF JOURNALISTS IS ACCEPTABLE
….Those that don’t agree with this
man, just happen to regularly die.
Those that “control the present
control the past” and in Russia…..Putin controls the present.
George Orwell
wrote in his famous book “1984”: “ Who
controls the past, controls the future: who controls the present controls the
past.”
This is
a perfect example of the man that Donald Trump admires that also is the thug that
controls Russia.
Modern
tyrannies like Russia depend on their control of their nation's memories. This is why Russia’s
Supreme Court recently upheld the conviction of a blogger for violating Article
354.1 of Russia’s criminal code.
The convicted
blogger’s crime was to correctly post that: “The [Soviet] communists and Germany jointly invaded Poland, sparking
off the Second World War.” The Russian court today insists that the Russian
Communists had nothing to do with starting WWII. That would mean that the secret agreements
that the rest of the world is aware of between Russia and Germany with their
Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, that legendary agreement is today being totally ignored by Vladimir
Putin’s administration. As Orwell
stated: Those that “control the present
control the past” and Putin controls the present.
The Russian
court’s ruling on the conviction is a window into the sinister continuity of
Putin’s Russia and the Soviet system that made him.
What most
Americans don’t understand about Mr. Putin, is that he is basically a man
overwhelmed with resentments acquired when he was a KGB operative, or “a devoted officer of a dying empire”. This has been Putin’s problem ever since the
wall in East Germany came down as his beloved Soviet Union was dissolving.
Is has been
shown many times that there could not have been so many coincidences of Russian deaths as are
stated today, of most of those that have had any ability to publicize their negative
attitude toward Mr. Putin. Those people just happen to regularly either die,
or are assassinated or they just disappear….?
It has been
suggested for today's American Democratic presidential nominee that she should read the New York Times, Steven
Lee Myers
book, “The New Tsar: The Rise and Reign
of Vladimir Putin”. This will
explain to her Putin’s current resentments and his desires for putting a version of the
former Soviet Union back together.
But there is
nothing being recommended for Mr. Trump to read, as he is the individual that
admires this Russian thug. Because as Trump declares, “at least he’s a real leader.”
How Putin
really feels is demonstrated by the fact that on his desk, since his first day
as Russia’s leader, sits the bronze statue of “Iron Felix Dzerzhinsky”. He was the
founder of the Soviet secret police and its terror apparatus.
As to those killed
journalists, bloggers and opponents of Putin, there was the 2006 assassination
in Moscow, that just happened to be on Putin’s 54th birthday. This was the death of the troublesome
journalist Anna Politkovskaya. When
asked about the frequent deaths of anti-Putin journalists, Donald Trump
breezily just says, “I think that our
country does plenty of killing.”
Then there was the 2006 poisoning in London of Putin’s antagonist,
Alexander Litvinenko, who died from being poisoned using radioactive polonium
210. This just happens to be the killing tool of choice back in Putin’s Soviet KGB.
Ah yes, all
those weird coincidences….and these are just two of 12 questionable Russian deaths or disappearances?
Putin’s
Russia, outside of Russia, is referred to laughingly as a “managed democracy”. In reality it is Stalinism with a dose of
thugocracy and a hint of kleptomania, as in Putin's going into the Crimea is the
first push on the door of what remains of the Ukraine.
And this is
the so called “leader” that Donald J.
Trump admires.
God help us
all, if Trump gets into the White House.
