WISCONSIN’S SCOTT WALKER, THE VOODOO PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

You won’t believe the plan that
Scott Walker is trying to sell in his presidential campaign.
The word is
finally out that Mitt Romney is not
going for a third try at the presidency.
So it now appears that the GOP
governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker,
is going to try filling that void for those that want an acceptable centrist
Republican candidate that they feel might be able to beat Hillary Clinton.
Yes, even
though Walker is being investigated for various improprieties in his past
elections, he has won three
consecutive elections, (one, his own
recall election), for the governorship of Wisconsin. He was also recently considered one of the
stars of the recent Iowa Freedom Summit, organized by the
highly conservative Iowa Tea Party Representative,
Mr. Steve (those illegals with
calves-the-size-of-cantaloupes) King.
One must
remember that this is the same Governor Walker that is a Fox News regular and the anti-unionist that brought-on his own
recall election in a Blue state. He is
also the governor where an imposter, posing as one of the Koch Brothers, called Walker and then recorded Walker, thanking
this fake Koch brother for their massive financial campaign support and telling
this same false caller about how he was going to go after the local union
organizations.
In this latest
role of running for the presidency, he refers to both Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton as the Washington “insiders” and that what the country
needs is a “Breath of fresh
‘out-of-DC-air’ ”, and that’s what he’s offering as himself.
In making his situation
very personal, the governor told his audiences about some threats against him he implies were
from local Wisconsin union members. The
governor stated, “I think the biggest
challenge for us, or for me personally, were all the death threats and the
visits to our home,” he said at the Iowa Freedom Summit. Walker said that
his wife, parents and sons were constantly threatened, “Time and time again the protesters were trying to intimidate us. But
all they did was remind me how important it was to stand up for the people of
my state, and remind me why I ran for governor.”
At the Iowa Freedom Summit, Walker repeated some
ideas about going against those unions that he is testing for his future stump speeches. Per the Des Moines Register, he also tried them out in a 30-minute conference
call to key Iowa Republicans. The
governor is not holding anything back and his attitude toward demonizing all unions is a
“no-holds-barred” approach. In addition, he is telling everyone that it is God’s choice for him to run for the
presidency.
Per Walker’s
conference call, “One threatened to ‘gut
my wife like a deer,” and he said another note said that if his wife didn’t
stop him, he’d be “the first Wisconsin
governor ever assassinated.” Then
he added, “Part of me looks back and
thinks that maybe God put me and my family through all this for a purpose…and
it wasn’t just to get things done in Wisconsin, and it wasn’t just to win all
those elections in a state that normally doesn’t go Republican. Maybe it was to
set us to... help get our country on the right track.” Bingo!
Walker is
playing this to the right-wing Tea Party,
the mid-western and Southern evangelists and toward all those Republicans that
would be voting in both the primaries and the general election. No one gets left out. Plus, he made it clear in his three elections
for Wisconsin’s Governor, labor unions were his #1 targets.
So, let’s get
an idea as to how this governor is running his state today.
As one local
publication put it, “Walker is one of
those governors and Republican presidential maybe-contenders whose entire
reason for governance can be summed up for America as: ‘We Can't Have Nice
Things Anymore’.”
With this in
mind, Governor Scott Walker's plan is to cut the University of Wisconsin system by $300 million over the next two years. This would immediately lead to university
teacher layoffs. (And Walker’s record for new job development in his state is one of
the nation’s worst.) Closing
campuses is not on the table at this time, but with a $300 million cut, that would be very hard to avoid.
All of the
state’s universities would also be detached from state government and therefore
removed from any of the labor rules or laws that regulate them. (Again,
unions are the target.)
This would
free up Walker supporters on the Board of
Regents to implement their rules for getting rid of any organized
unions. One such law currently provides
faculty with tenure, which protects them from dismissal. Another rule provides for shared governance,
which allows professors and students to have a role in how universities are
run. However, under the governor’s running of the show, such matters as these
rules and laws would be left to Walker's Board
of Regents to decide.
But in
addition, as is expected for this conservative Republican governor, cutting the
budget for the state universities, would just free up the money for building
his rich Wisconsin campaign donors a new sports arena
Walker now has
the gall to call his plans for Wisconsin a, "common-sense, fiscally conservative approach". So, Governor Scott Walker has said with the new
growth in income tax revenue from the Milwaukee
Bucks players, their employees and visiting teams, this will generate
enough money to cover debt payments on $220
million in state-issued bonds for a new sports arena.
However, be
warned that this new arena had been expected to not cost $220 million, but to cost $400
million to $500 million. And based on the latest calculations, it
appears the new arena would actually cost at least $500+ million.
Per the
governor, "There's absolute security
for the taxpayers. No new taxes, no
drawing on existing revenues, no exposure to the future..."
I’m not
kidding. This is exactly what he’s selling.
According to
Walker, the $220 million of new
state bonds are expected to pay for themselves.
But nothing has been said about who pays for those costs over $220 million…?
Now, just how is
all this supposed to work?
Per walker,
there will be great gobs of money that the Milwaukee
Bucks players will personally be paying in state income taxes, plus those
hotel rooms for the other teams and etc, etc, etc.
It's more like
a bogus plan for printing your own money.
This is a bizarre scam about forking over of hundreds of millions of
dollars to build an extravagant sports arena for wealthy sporting team owners
and donors. But, Walker says it’s a sure thing that has never, ever gone
wrong!
Oh, and I have a wonderful
bridge to sell you!
Scott Walker
is the same Republican financial brain-whiz whose past predictions on these
things has been so spot-on that people can hardly contain their admiration for
their man. And now they just can’t wait
for him to work his budgetary, money-making voodoo on all of the rest of
America.
So, this is
the reason why only the rich will have nice things, and why the rest of
Wisconsin’s and now other American citizens, “will not have nice things”.
This is also
why Scott Walker will run for president on a platform of doing for the nation
what he’s doing for Wisconsin, which is to explain to all the little people
that they should not expect to have nice things. If elected, he will then set about
proving exactly that! (And let’s not
forget what he wants to do to all the unions!)
So, if these
are the types of programs that you are looking for, then the Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker
is obviously your man.
