                        …Michael Cohen’s book fully explains Donald Trump’s “mistic”

 

Donald Trump was a wannabee “Mob Boss”

 

I am in the middle of the book “DISLOYAL” by Michael Cohen.  It is what I feel is the most accurate description as to an explanation for how Donald Trump was able to get so many individuals around him to accept and repeat his lies.  Cohen shows how Trump has controlled his children and those that chose to stay within his organization.

Cohen starts out by describing his childhood coming from a very Jewish family living in New York and how during his youth how pervasive the mob was in New York.  We have all learned how the favorite lawyer of the mob bosses in New York was also Donald Trump’s lawyer, Roy Cohn.  As the U.S, President, President Trump once said regarding his need for a personal lawyer in the White House, he asked “Where is my Roy Cohn?”  That statement actually became the title of a book about the lawyer of the mobs, and the title of the book is “WHERE IS MY ROY COHN?”

Michael Cohen was raised in an affluent area on Long Island that was also where there were many members of the different New York mobs.  As a young man, Michael spent many hours working in the local clubs that many of the mob members were members.  They were like country clubs with Olympic size swimming pools and bars and dining rooms where the mobs would hang out.  Michael got to know many of what became the famous mob gangsters, at the time when the New York District Attorney’s had finally decided to take on the local Mafia’s.

Cohen describes how as a lawyer, he had become in awe of Donald Trump the so falsely called the: “billionaire businessman,” and he describes how Trump was very similar to the mob bosses he had grown up watching in New York.  He said that he later became part of Trump’s operation and its cult-like atmosphere.  He describes it as being very similar to the Jim Jones cult that ended in the 1978, “Jonestown Massacre” in the country of Guyana.  This became the largest mass suicide ever.  It is a story of the preacher, Jim Jones, who had become such a devout leader of his cult, that just before the law came after him, he was able to convince his 900 followers to accompany him in committing suicide by drinking poisoned kool-aid.  He then took his own life using a hand gun.

The point was that Trump’s way of selling himself as a self-made billionaire and never taking responsibility for any failures, he also became a cult like leader of his followers. 

Those that attacked the Congress on January 6^th this year, they were Trump followers as those of the preacher, Jim Jones.  They also believed anything that Trump said and they attacked the Congress because he directed them to do his bidding in attempting to keep him in office.  They were directed to do whatever it took to keep Trump as the U.S. president, even if it meant hanging his “traitor of a Vice President Pence” or in the killing of the House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi.

Fortunately, those events never occurred.  Yet, as Trump had become the leader of what is left of the Republican Party, there are those in Congress that are still under his influence and they continue to follow his “Big Lie” of agreeing that “the election was stolen” and “there was massive election fraud”.  Neither of which is true, but there are many of those that are still under the spell of Trump and his cult.

For ten years, Michael was one of those “cultish Trump followers” that would repeat Trump’s lies and would allow him to never accept responsibility for any of the organization’s failures.  Cohen says that Trump’s grown children are three of those Trump followers today, as Cohen was for all those years.

Cohen’s wife and children for years tried to get Michael to leave the Trump organization.  They were able to see what kind of person Trump was and how their father had become one of the “cult”.  But Michael was so taken with a kind of worship of Trump, like those others that would make excuses for Trumps behavior, they would do whatever Trump desired in order to avoid his wrath.  As we have seen, Trump has never accepted that he ever has done anything that was incorrect.  Those around him learned how to become a true follower by allowing him to always be the one that was assumed as being the correct one.

Michael and those other followers that believed that he was the great businessman and billionaire that he claimed, they did so until they themselves, in helping him, found that they had done things that got them into serious trouble.  That is what happened to Michael that his commitment to Trump ended when he was sent to federal prison.  That was basically for illegally doing things that were in support of Donald Trump.  In fact, the book “DISLOYAL” was mostly written while Cohen was in prison.

All those people that President Trump had decided to give a “pardon” for their illegal acts, that was done most likely for them doing something illegal for Donald Trump.  The reasons that Trump was impeached twice, was for Trump being a “mob-like boss” and his followers doing something illegal for him.

As we see the many lawsuits that are emerging against Donald Trump and the Trump organization, they are not only from the legal efforts of the New York Attorney General and the New York District Attorney.  There are also lawsuits from his own family members, such as his niece that the Trump family illegally kept her out of a legal inheritance from the death of her father, Trump’s brother, and of the fortune of Trump’s father’s death.  There are also many lawsuits from construction companies that Trump failed to pay for their efforts in the building of his golf courses and Trump Hotels.  There are a number of other lawsuits from women that have accused Trump of sexually accosting them over the past years. 

Michael’s book also details the many times that Trump would make comments how he would see attractive women and Trump would say, “I’d sure like to have that piece of ass.” 

Fortunately, for now, we are no longer required to have Donald Trump as our president.  Hopefully, the GOP will eventually return to their former self, as the conservative Republican Party.  But as of now, there is no sign that they are headed in that direction.  Trump will hopefully have those negative issues with the Southern District of New York’s District Attorney, and he will bring the suits against Trump to keep him in trouble for tax evasion or other illegal issues.  Or hopefully, those other lawsuits I mentioned will get him in trouble.  Fortunately, he has been removed from Twitter and Facebook as his communication channels to his “cult”.

But no one knows if this issue will come back to haunt us in the future.  Hopefully not!
