THE ONLY FEMALE CANDIDATE FOR THE 2016 GOP NOMINATION IS UNQUALIFIED

…Carly Fiorina, fired from her position as H-P’s CEO by her own BoD

As a failed corporate CEO, Carly Fiorina is not qualified for "Commander in Chief"

The conservative and capable columnist Kathleen Parker wrote a column for The Washington Post, right after the first GOP debate and she correctly described some of the candidates as follows:

Per Ms. Parker:

·       Trump failed to be charming. He was churlish, insulting and petulant. Unfortunately, many find those qualities endearing. But the audience booed him more than once.”

·       Rand Paul is irritable and irascible. Christie, is argumentative.”

·       Scott Walker, who distinguished himself as more pro-life than God (no abortion exceptions, even for the life of the mother), uttered perhaps the most irrefutable statement of the evening: “ ‘I’m a guy with a wife, two kids and a Harley.’

·       Jeb Bush is a sincere guy who can’t quite find his light switch. He fumbled once again on the most predictable question:  whether he would have invaded Iraq.”

·       Mike Huckabee is quick with a quip, but he, too, wants to double down on abortion.”

·       John Kasich is a good guy whose life is defined by family, faith and friends.”

·       Ben Carson is a superb neurosurgeon and, frankly, adorable.” “Ted Cruz is really, really smart.”

·       Marco Rubio. He’s the young Republican of the future, the first-generation son of immigrants with a quintessential American story.”

With the exceptions of Ben Carson and Ted Cruz, whom I don’t find adorable and Cruz may be smart, but he has a problem in telling the truth.  Other than that, I can agree somewhat with most of her other comments.

What I have a problem with is that from Ms. Parker’s Point-of-View, she and some others feel that, “Carly Fiorina rocks!”

Having personally dealt with H-P and Compaq Computer when Carly was the H-P CEO, and while H-P was in the process of acquiring Compaq, I have a much different opinion of Ms. Fiorina.

There are very good reasons that Carly was fired from H-P.  So, for her to continue to sell herself as a competent and experienced high tech executive is a major stretch.

Oh, Carly’s smart and a good speaker.  That’s apparently how she got the H-P position in the first place.  But as they say, “The proof is in the pudding.”  And in this case the pudding went very bad.  The Compaq acquisition was not a good fit and because of it, H-P stock tanked and thousands of H-P / Compaq employees lost their jobs.

In addition, Carly seriously lost her first attempt at running for office against the Senior Democrat, Barbara Boxer, in a double-digit loss.

You see, as a corporate CEO that does speak very well, running a corporation is very different from being a professional politician that has to deal with compromise in order to get things done.  As a CEO, she was basically a dictator that could get done whatever she decided needed to get done.  She made her corporate demands and made her hiring and firing decisions with no repercussions, that is until her decisions caused the company and its reputation to go into the toilet.

As it was learned with the 2012 election and with another CEO like Mitt Romney in the presidential hunt, at least, Mitt had successfully run for a political office.  He had also been the governor of an important state.  Meanwhile, Ms. Fiorina has had none of that on her side.

Carly is currently calling a well known and accomplished First Lady, Senator and Secretary of State a liar and she says that Hillary was the worst Sec. of State ever.  Of course, as usual no real proof of her statements is offered.

Much worse could be said and proven about this previous H-P CEO that was fired from her job by her own Board of Directors.  A Board that even included Walter Hewlett, Bill Hewlett’s brother.

Ms. Parker finished her article with: “She [Carly] can win this; she can do this job; and I like her.  And now a lot more Republicans, and Democrats, know her name.”

Hopefully, the American voters will learn the truth as the Californian voters did when Carly ran and lost for US Senator.

Carly is not the right choice for elected office, especially as the Commander in Chief of these United States.
