AS USUAL, THE REPUBLICANS CAN'T LIVE UP TO THEIR PROMISES

…Trump acceptance.  He starts by making broken promises to America

Trump made bogus promises for not touching Medicaid

Ok, let’s look back at some of the Trump promises.

Remember when the following was promised:

“It’s going to be easy.  On the first week in the White House I will sign the order to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Every American will then have health care that covers more, is better, and will have lower premiums.”  He also promised that he would not touch Medicaid, Medicare or Social Security.

Looks like he’s going back on most all of his promises.

To show this is nothing new, there was a film clip shown last week going back to 1936 when FDR had just taken over the White House after 4 years of the Great Depression under the Republican President, Herbert Hoover.

FDR said in this speech, “Yes, they [the Republicans] will tell you that they also believe in doing all these wonderful things for all Americans.  But if we Republicans were doing it, it would be better, it would do more and most of all, it wouldn’t cost you anything, if you just turned it all over to us [Republicans].”

Yep, that was 81 years ago, and that is basically what Donald J. Trump had promised all those Americans that later went into a voting booth and put an “X” in the box for “Trump for President”.

These supporters are the ones that Trump declared were and are so loyal to him that he could “shoot someone in New York’s Times Square and he wouldn’t be found guilty!”
Well, they got what they voted for, and it’s in spades.

Just as he lied to them then, now he’s continuing to lie about his so called transparency about his relationship with Russia.

Why is it that we continue to get the drip, drip, drip about everything from Donald Jr’s. meeting with the Russians, and now we find out that Trump met with Putin for another undisclosed meeting with Putin?  And not only did he not have any note takers or an American translator with him, this meeting was never made known until it was announced by some international personnel that were in the room at the time of the undisclosed meeting.

The many failures of the Trump administration in Trump’s first six months is of course somehow being blamed on the Democrats….?

According to Trump, the Democrats are total obstructionists, have zero ideas, were responsible for the Republicans not being able to pass the bogus health care bill, even though Trump and company spent zero effort for trying to get the bogus bill passed.  Isn’t it interesting that as usual, when the Republicans get elected, real governing seldom happens.  They just don’t know how to govern.
Could it be that everyone that had a senate vote understood that the horrible bill contained virtually nothing that the President had promised and no one wanted to pass a bill that took away health care from 22-30 million Americans and that also brought back the old pre-existing health conditions?  Trump had said that the latest Senate health care bill had brought the party together.  Only an hour later he found out that the GOP’s Senate Majority Leader McConnell announced the he didn’t have the votes needed to pass the Obamacare replacement bill.

At least we have heard now that the special counsel, Robert Mueller is asking to interview one of the attendees of the Donald Jr. / Russia meeting, so that tells us that Mueller is investigating possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians.

The reality is that if the Trump organization has nothing to hide, why do they keep trying to avoid being open about their meetings with the Russians?  If Jared Kushner weren’t Trump’s son-in-law, he would have had his security clearance removed weeks ago.  The rules say that the president can give a security clearance to whomever he wants.  But just as the rules changed after the Watergate scandal, those rules about having a relative in the White House as an advisor may also later be changed.

When will the Republicans ever learn that to govern, you have to have hearings and everybody needs to have their say.  The Democrats had the majority when Obama helped pass the health care bill, but it took a year of meetings and amendments before they got it passed.  The Republicans never in seven years even had an idea of a what they needed to do for replacing Obamacare.  They tried to shove this latest bill through in months with no input from the other side of the aisle.  And all this time they and Trump have been saying how easy it would be.

If they think health care was not so easy, just wait till they get to dealing with Tax Reform.

This edition of the democratic process requires a serious learning curve.  Unfortunately, there are a bunch of newbie Americans that have no idea of what being an educated democratic American means about being in a democracy.  Having an ignorant president like Donald J. Trump is more like living in a dictatorship than a democracy.   In fact, it’s more like a king’s royal family that is put in charge of running the country.  Let’s face it, they have Jared son-in-law running the State Dept., Ivanka is running the Commerce Dept. and Don Jr. might as well be running as the the Ambassador to Mother Russia.  Ah yes, that the perfect Trump America, run by the Trump Corporation and all of its subsidiary family operations.

And seriously folks, this is not a joke.
