WILL “FOX NEWS” SLOWLY DIE & FADE-OFF INTO THE SUNSET?

…Fox News’ Megyn Kelly
gets caught spreading voter fraud lies.
The numbers on Fox News
do not look promising with regard to their future potential growth.
While doing my research
for my previous recent article on the Fox network and Republican’s brains, I
came across some interesting information that is showing why the conservative Fox News “experiment” may become the proverbial “flash-in-the-pan” operation.
The reason for this is
that there are organizations out in TV-land that continually check to see how
the different news and media groups are doing and growing. Of those observing organizations, there now
seems to be one constant issue with one particular news operation that has
become a reality to all of these organizations.
So far, based on the numbers criteria that is used for
following network programing, Fox News
in particular, is having difficulty in appealing to new viewers. That includes new: young, old and minority viewers.
The current Fox viewer profile is pretty much filled with
elderly, white viewers, and many of those are located in the Southern states. But those viewers are continuing to age with
only a very few new and younger voters coming on board. The network followers are now saying that if
this trend continues, Fox viewers will eventually be either too feeble or will
be deceased, which will obviously limit Fox’s viewership and its overall
political impact. Unfortunately, based
on today’s numbers, it will still take a decade or more to extinguish the
current, Fox News’ conservative flame.
So, just why is it that Fox is having this issue of being
unable to attract new and younger viewers?
Well, I would first ask if anyone else can name a growing
and successful news outlet that blatantly lies on the air, and then continues
to repeat those lies even after they have been called out on those blatant
lies? At some point, as with lying politicians, this kind of news outlet would
eventually be figured out by the American public. So, without making major ethical programing
changes, this news outlet would gradually lose credibility and eventually cease
to exist.
This news outlet description appears to be today’s, Fox News.
Just last week, the Fox
"talking-head" news reader, Ms. Megyn Kelly,
literally offered up a totally false voter fraud news item about the governor
of Colorado signing a law that, “literally
allows residents to print ballots from their home computers, then encourages
them to turn ballots over to special ‘collectors’.”
This news item was totally made up by Fox. The only people who can
print out ballots today are active military personnel serving overseas. Rachel
Maddow on her MSNBC daily show
pointed this out in a blistering response to Ms. Kelly’s false statements. The ballot-printing ability is a long-time privilege
for overseas military personnel. Other,
legal, “vote-by-mail” programs are
also available in many US states.
Megyn Kelly just outright
lied and has not retracted her statements, (Fox
never retracts anything they report). Colorado citizens cannot print
their ballots and give them to "collectors",
any more than can citizens in other American states.. One simple phone
call to any Colorado elections supervisor or the Secretary of State’s office
could have told her that information.
That is, if there was any fact checking going on at Fox….which seldom if
ever occurs.
But Ms. Kelly just didn’t stop there. She
used her fingers as “air quotes” to
say the word "collectors"
as if these were obviously considered as illegitimate individuals. Ms.
Kelly had started this so called news item saying that this was all a voting
scam by the Democrats for doing away with "traditional polling places". She then added, with a
snide smirk, "what could go wrong?"
…The Democrats are not trying to do away with
“traditional polling places”. In fact,
they are working hard for increasing voter registrations.
This is a perfect example
as to why Fox News and their
right-wing supporters are the only ones left who will try saying that the Fox
News network is anything other than a sleazy, ideological sham posing as a
legitimate news agency.
