WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT! RUSH LIMBAUGH SPEAKING OUT AGAINST THE POPE & AMERICA’S OBESITY PROBLEM

Rush comes out against both the Pope and American Obesity, but you won't believe why...

I must send Mr. Rush Limbaugh a bottle of whisky or a fine bottle of wine for Christmas.  The reason being that he just continues to provide so much choice material for my columns and my Blog. 

This time, the over-inflated Rushbo, (and I don’t just mean his ego), started speaking out against obesity.  Ok, you can stop laughing because I am serious.  The oversize blowhard himself decided to actually quote an article by a Washington newspaper concerning America’s obesity problems. 

Now you will notice I did not say the Washington news article was from the Washington Post.  The article was instead from the Washington Times.  And as one liberal writer stated, “The Washington Times is to journalistic integrity in print, what Rush Limbaugh is to journalistic integrity on the radio.”  That pretty much says it all.

The article was so ridiculous because it was claiming that “food stamp programs cause obesity”. 

 

Honestly, you can’t make this stuff up. 

Obviously, Limbaugh probably reads the “Times”, (Washington, not New York), cover to cover and this was the story he was quoting on his radio program.

And this dis-information wasn’t enough for Rush.  He went onto say that “people on Food Stamps could buy whatever they wanted” using our tax payer money via those Food Stamps. 

Anybody that knows anything about Food Stamps knows that what you can buy with Food Stamps is very much controlled and you can’t buy drugs, liquor, cigarettes or junk food with Food Stamps.  Rush even had the gall to identify the Washington Times on his show as his official source “just to show you I wasn’t making it up.”  Well that’s true.  This time, somebody else was making it up. Rush says that when the WT article links obesity to food stamps, “that makes total sense.”

Of course, we must all remember that to Rush, making total sense means that it fits perfectly with his highly racist view of the world.

In a related issue this week, I read an article by another devout conservative that was totally against the Pope’s comments of going after capitalism and what he was doing in helping the poor.  Of course, Rush had railed against the Pope’s anti-capitalist comments this week and he even called Pope Francis a Marxist.

In the article excerpt I read, the other conservative wrote the following:

“Recently Pope Francis advocated the heads of all nations to help the poor for overcoming world poverty.  There is a saying, ‘You give fish to a man and you feed him for a day: but you give him a fishing rod and you feed him for life.’  The Pope is advocating giving fish, and incidentally, this is what Democrats believe, whereas Republicans believe in giving the fishing rod.”

Then there was this response to this conservative’s excerpt:

“I was seriously struck by the level of ignorance shown by the writer of the above excerpt and his negative comments against Democrats and Pope Francis helping the poor. 

This Republican uses the old “Feed a man a Fish” story, but ends by saying that the Pope and the Democrats believe in feeding the poor, fish, while he says the, “Republicans believe in giving the fishing rod.”

Mr. Republican has it all wrong.  Pope Francis, and the Democrats, believing in first, giving the poor the fish in order to, ‘keep them alive’.  Then, while feeding them fish, they take the time to give them a rod and teach them how to use it.  Throwing a ‘Fishing Rod’ at a poor person, without teaching him how to fish, truly is what the Republicans do.  But the real term for what the Republicans are doing while they are cutting the poor’s Food Stamps is instead called, ‘Giving them the shaft.’  “

Well, I guess that based on the Pope’s world-wide popularity, this Republican and Rush are attempting, and failing, to give Pope Francis “the shaft”.

To finish with the “Rush” bulletins, Rush has now added that Obama is "having an orgasm" because "the Pope is ripping at American capitalism."  Just hearing Rush Limbaugh say the word "orgasm" is enough to make you want to consider joining the priesthood.  

Rush also claims that Obama thinks, "We've got too many rich people."   And again, Rush has no clue as to what the president is saying. 

President Obama is actually saying that we have “too few rich people”. The problem is that there is a tiny handful of conservative Americans that are obscenely rich and are running parts of this country with all their Citizens-United money.  Obama is saying that more lower and middle-class Americans need to become the American Dream.

Once again, Rushbo has shown that he has his head up in a warm, dark place.
