Rudy Giuliani, the current personal lawyer of the president has apparently turned to the “Dark Side”

Remember when Donald Trump promised that he would only chose “the very best people for his administration”?

Now stop laughing, but that is what we were all promised.  Five of Trump’s advisers have been indicted or sent to prison, and there will be more in the future.  Now the President has been impeached and is in the middle of a trial in the US Senate.

If the Senate wasn’t run by the Republicans, he for sure would be removed from office.

How has the president been able to do the absolute opposite of picking “the best”..

Even today, with people such as Lev Parnas, the soviet born Florida businessman that found his way onto Trump’s team, and he is just one of the incompetent, sycophants and grifters inside what is now known as TRUMPWORLD.

Even the so called “America’s Mayor”, Rudy Giuliani, the former federal prosecutor and former mayor of New York City, and the current personal lawyer of the president has apparently turned to the “Dark Side”.  He has associated himself with Mr. Parnas who was hired by Rudy to run around Europe and conduct a bogus type of foreign policy on behalf of President Trump.

But of course, even with a number of pictures showing Parnas with the president, and a video of him sitting next to and conversing with the president, the president denies ever meeting Lev Parnas.

Parnas is of course making news because he claims, and it appears to be true, that he worked “on the ground” in the Ukraine bribery scheme for which Trump has been impeached. The US House of Representatives has proven that Trump is guilty of this scheme and that Lev Parnas and Rudy plus others, were also deeply involved. 

In a broadcast interview with MSNBC’s Rachael Maddow, Lev Parnas just tied the president and his personal lawyer to the effort to pressure Ukraine to investigate Trump's political rival, Joe Biden.  And Giuliani, the once  “America’s Mayor,” has now become “America’s Embarrassment.”

According to The Washington Post, Parnas and his friend, Igor Fruman, said they would “drop everything to join Giuliani at his favorite haunts, stay out late while he drank scotch and pick up the tab.” Parnas says he now believes he was being “recruited” by Giuliani because he had connections in Ukraine.

As it turns out, Parnas and Mr. Fruman are both under federal indictment by the Southern District of New York (SDNY) and they were both caught at the airport by the feds, as they were heading back to Europe on one-way tickets.

Of course, Mr. Giuliani, was also running around Europe, conducting foreign policy as the president’s “personal” representative. Mr. Giuliani is reportedly under criminal investigation by federal prosecutors at the SDNYin for possible violations of campaign finance and lobbying statutes.   (BTW: Mr. Giuliani used to run the SDNY that is currently investigating him.)

Any other president would surely have distanced himself from anyone facing such legal investigation, if only for appearance’s sake. But Trump seems to care only about Giuliani’s appearances in support of the president on Fox News.

Yessir, he picks only “the best”!

Oh, and as to Fox News, the president favorite network, they seem to be setting the president’s agendas.

Other presidents have distinguished scholars among their advisers. Trump has Sean Hannity, Lou Dobbs and Laura Ingraham..

If you look at Trump’s key officials, he has a Secretary of Education who gives no indication of believing in public education.  His Secretary of Commerce who, just like Trump, has routinely overstated his net worth.  His Secretary of Housing and Urban Development’s only qualification for that position is that he lives in a house.  And his administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency does not believe climate change.

Yes, just “the best”.

The US diplomatic corps of Washington is full of Middle East experts. Trump, however, assigned the task of making peace between Israel and the Palestinians to his son-in-law Jared Kushner.  All one can say about his  negotiation skills is that he grossly overpaid for a New York office building.  We keep hearing that Jared’s Middle East Peace Plan will be announced any day now. Yeah, right!

Trump’s major White House advisers are Jared and daughter, Ivanka. 

Trump is trying to run the White House just like he ran the Trump Organization.  But the Trump operation is just a mom-and-pop business that is so poorly run that the leading New York banks and real estate developers refuse to have anything to do with it.

Let’s get down to the brass tacks.  Trump’s “Fixer Lawyer”, Michael Cohen helped Trump pay off a porn star and a Playboy model to prevent disclosure of Trump’s alleged sexual affairs.  Now, Mr. Giuliani has tried to muscle the Ukrainian government into publicly smearing Trump’s potential opponent in the coming election, Joe Biden.

And to top it all off, Attorney General William Barr has become Trump’s personal Attorney General, as AG Barr tells Trump he can basically, “do anything he wants”.

Trump is ruining the country and it will take decades to get the nation’s reputation back to being trustworthy, if it ever can.
