TRUMP’S HEALTH CARE PLAN: “LET’S GET BACK TO OVER 18% OF AMERICANS UNINSURED”

....Thanks to Trump and the GOP, Americans will again be coming here for their health care.

Before Obamacare, 18.2% of America was uninsured, today it is down to 10.3%.

Well, when it comes to the nation’s health care, Trump’s latest Executive Order to immediately skirt the ACA’s legal requirements for payments for reimbursing insurers that help millions of low-income Americans.  This move means one thing for sure.  It cannot be blamed on Obamacare or on former President Obama.

President Trump and the Republican party have just bought the farm.  Whatever happens the nation’s health care programs now belongs to the GOP and their Congress.

Let's face it, Donald Trump doesn’t care about Americans.  He doesn’t care whether they have good paying jobs or comprehensive health care coverage.  Just look at the changes he has lied about since and during the campaign.

He blames the Congress for not forcing  the approval their disgusting unhealthy, health care plan that was supposed to replace Obamacare and 70% of the country was against it.

He never has admitted that he promised, but failed to offer, the plan he said would offer better coverage, lower costs and would include coverage for pre-existing conditions like the ACA.

The GOP has not offered a plan that would do that, and Trump himself has since had to stupidly say, “Gee, who knew that health care was so complicated?”  Sorry Donald, we all knew that health care was difficult.

The reality is that Trump’s real goal is very simple.  All he wants to do is get rid of President Obama’s legacy.  He has no ideas about what to do with Iran.  He doesn’t care if Americans have good health care coverage.  He doesn’t really support NATO.  He is so ignorant that he continues to say the outstanding stock market results are paying off the national debt...?  Sorry Donald, those two items have nothing to do with each other.

And this is our Commander-in-Chief...?

All Trump wants is to get back at Obama, you know, the illegal US president that was born in Kenya, that blistered Trump’s ego at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.  That night, Trump was the butt of jokes by President Obama and “Saturday Night Live” comedian Seth Meyers.  Trump was so humiliated by the experience that some say, that it triggered a deep, hidden yearning for pure revenge. “That evening of public abasement, rather than sending Mr. Trump away, it accelerated his efforts to gain stature in the political world.  Some say it may have been his reason for running for office in 2016.”

Right now, by throwing a bomb into the insurance marketplaces created under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), choosing to end these payments to health insurers that helped millions of lower-income Americans afford medical coverage. This decision coincides with Trump’s executive order on Thursday to also allow alternative health plans that skirt the law’s requirements.

The new order allows Americans to purchase insurance over state lines, which is already allowed, but these new plans can now be much cheaper while their coverage is basically worthless for sick people and are only good for younger, healthier Americans.

Meanwhile, the top two congressional Democrats, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), criticized the president’s decision. “It is a spiteful act of vast, pointless sabotage leveled at working families and the middle class in every corner of America,” they said in a joint statement. “Make no mistake about it, Trump will try to blame the Affordable Care Act, but this will fall on Trump's back and he will pay the price for it.”

Yes, Schumer is correct.  With this Executive Order, Donald Trump, and the Republican Congress, just inherited the nation’s health care problems, lock, stock and barrel!

For months, Trump administration officials have debated privately about what to do about health care.

Acting HHS secretary, and the, administrator of the department’s Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said they were stopping the payments based on a legal opinion by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. “It has been clear for many years that Obamacare is bad policy. It is also bad law,” their statement says. “The Obama Administration unfortunately went ahead and made CSR payments to insurance companies after requesting, but never ultimately receiving, an appropriation from Congress as required by law.”

Among policy experts, critics warned that young and healthy people who use relatively little insurance will gravitate to association health plans because of their lower price tags. That would concentrate older and sicker customers in those ACA marketplaces with highly spiking rates.  This is all part of the Republicans plan to get the country back to where 18.2% of American will be w/o health care coverage.  Today, because of Obamacare, the nation is at an all-time low coverage rate of only 10.3% of uninsured Americans.

Expect that rate to start climbing quickly while under the presidency of Donald J. Trump.
