TRUMP MADE A SCORE OF PROMISES THAT HE CAN'T KEEP
…This is the look of a man that
lies with a smile.
Hundreds of promises never had a
chance of being fulfilled
The political
Fact-Checking organization, PolitiFact
their “TRUMP-O-METER” keeps a
running tab on all of Donald Trump’s campaign promises. So, if you want to see how he’s doing in
keeping those promises, all you need to do is Google “How many campaign promises has Donald Trump kept?”, and you will be
able to click on their site. On the site
they have listed six pages of promises.
And with the exceptions of nominating and installing a Supreme Court
Justice to replace Antonin Scalia, removing us from the TPP, Stop former White House advisers from lobbying for
foreign governments and his reversing a Obama gun restriction, the rest of the
promises are either stalled, broken, not rated or “in process”.
But if you
look into the “in process” promises,
many of them will never get out of the “in
process” category. These promises
include the following:
>>>
Trump promise to “End American Birthright
Citizenship”. The idea that Trump
would end the right for people born in the US to not be citizen of the United
States, that’s going to take more than making a promise to stop it.
>>>
Trump promised to “End China as being
part of the World Trade Organization (WTO)”, I don’t think that is
something that is totally up to the American POTUS.
>>>
In repealing “Obamacare”, Trump promised
to not make cuts to Medicaid and Medicare, but in the recent bill passed
by the Republican House, the American Health Care bill, if it is
passed in the Senate and Trump signs it, it currently cuts $8 billion out of Medicaid in its first 10 years. I seriously doubt that the GOP Senators will be voting to pass
that bill.
>>>
Trump promised to invest $550 Billion in the nation’s infrastructure. Actually, $550 Billion is only a
drop-in-the-bucket for what the nation’s infrastructure needs. But the nation’s purse strings are tied to a
very conservative Republican House. I would love to see double the $550 Billion
spent on America’s infrastructure, but I won’t hold my breath for that one.
>>>
Trump promised to move the US Embassy
in Israel to Jerusalem. If that were to
happen, all hell would break loose and it could start another war in the middle
east.
Listed below
are the promises that are: “stalled,
broken, not rated or in process”.
The Promise:
“A Trump administration will stop illegal
immigration, deport all criminal aliens, and save American lives.”
The Promise:
“A Trump administration will renegotiate
NAFTA and if we don't get the deal we want, we will terminate NAFTA and get a
much better deal for our workers and our companies. 100 percent."
The Promise:
"We have at least 11 million people in this country
that came in illegally. They will go out. They will come back — some will come
back, the best, through a process. They have to come back legally. They have to
come back through a process, and it may not be a very quick process, but I
think that’s very fair, and very fine."
The Promise:
“I will ask, to appoint a special prosecutor.
We have to investigate Hillary Clinton, and we have to investigate the
investigation.”
The Promise:
“I’m under a routine audit and it'll be
released, and as soon as the audit is finished it will be released."
The Promise:
“One of the first things I’d do in terms of
executive order, if I win, will be to sign a strong, strong statement that
would go out to the country, out to the world, that anybody killing a police
man, a police woman, a police officer, anybody killing a police officer, the
death penalty is going to happen,”
The Promise:
“Real change
begins with immediately repealing and replacing the disaster known as
Obamacare."
The Promise:
“A Trump administration will renegotiate
NAFTA and if we don't get the deal we want, we will terminate NAFTA and get a
much better deal for our workers and our companies. 100 percent."
The Promise:
“I’m under a routine audit and it'll be
released, and as soon as the audit is finished it will be released."
The Promise:
"That means reversing two of the worst
legacies of the Clinton years...First, the North American Free Trade Agreement,
or NAFTA. Second, China's entry into the World Trade Organization."
The Promise:
"The Trump Plan will lower the business
tax rate from 35 percent to 15 percent, and eliminate the corporate alternative
minimum tax."
The Promise:
"We will end the sanctuary cities that
have resulted in so many needless deaths. Cities that refuse to cooperate with
federal authorities will not receive taxpayer dollars, and we will work with
Congress to pass legislation to protect those jurisdictions that do assist
federal authorities.”
The Promise:
"End birthright citizenship."
The Promise:
“This deal if I win will be a totally
different deal. This will be a totally different deal.”
The Promise:
"I'm going to open up our libel laws so
when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue
them and win lots of money.”
The Promise:
"If I'm elected president, I'm accepting
no salary."
The Promise:
"I will create a private White House
hotline – that is answered by a real person 24 hours a day – to make sure that
no valid complaint about the VA ever falls through the cracks. I will
instruct my staff that if a valid complaint is not acted upon, then the issue
be brought directly to me, and I will pick up the phone and fix it myself, if
need be."
The Promise:
"If I'm elected president, I will push
for a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on all members of
Congress."
The Promise:
“One of the first things I’d do in terms of
executive order, if I win, will be to sign a strong, strong statement that
would go out to the country, out to the world, that anybody killing a police
man, a police woman, a police officer, anybody killing a police officer, the
death penalty is going to happen.”
The Promise:
“I will ask, to appoint a special prosecutor.
We have to investigate Hillary Clinton, and we have to investigate the
investigation.”
All of these were Trump Promises:
"We're going to cancel every needless
job-killing regulation and put a moratorium on new regulations until our
economy gets back on its feet."
“I’m
not going to cut Social Security like every other Republican and I’m not going
to cut Medicare or Medicaid.”
“We're
cutting Common Core. We're getting rid of Common Core. We're bringing education
locally."
"A requirement that for every new
federal regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated."
“A complete ban on foreign lobbyists raising
money for American elections."
"I would defund it because of the
abortion factor, which they say is 3 percent. I don't know what percentage it
is. They say it's 3 percent. But I would defund it, because I'm pro-life."
“Under
my presidency, we will accomplish a complete American energy independence.
Complete. Complete."
"We need to reform our mental health
programs and institutions in this country."
"That’s why I have a concealed carry
permit and why tens of millions of Americans do, too. That permit should be
valid in all 50 states.”
"Immediately add an additional federal
investment of $20 billion towards school choice."
"We are going to ask every department
head and government to provide a list of wasteful spending projects that we can
eliminate in my first 100 days."
"I'm going to open up our libel laws so
when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue
them and win lots of money.”
“My
plan will also ensure funding for historic black colleges and universities,
more affordable two- and four-year college and support for trade and vocational
education.”
“We’re
going to put America first. That includes canceling billions in climate change
spending for the United Nations."
“This
deal if I win will be a totally different deal. This will be a totally
different deal.”
“They
should build a safe zone. Take a big piece of land in Syria and they have
plenty of land, believe me. Build a safe zone for all these people, because I
have a heart, I mean these people, it’s horrible to watch, But, they shouldn’t
come over here. We should build a safe zone.”
“Speaking of ISIS, "We're losing a lot
of people because of the Internet and we have to do something. We have to go
see Bill Gates and a lot of different people that really understand what's
happening. We have to talk to them, maybe in certain areas closing that
Internet up in some way. Somebody will say, 'oh, freedom of speech, freedom of
speech.' These are foolish people… we've got to maybe do something with the
Internet because they (ISIS) are recruiting by the thousands, they are leaving
our country and then when they come back, we take them back."
“As
soon as I take office I will ask Congress to fully eliminate the defense
sequester and will submit a new budget to rebuild our military. It is so
depleted. We will rebuild our military.”
“We’re going to keep, as you know, Gitmo,
we’re keeping that open."
“I
would bring back waterboarding, and I’d bring back a hell of a lot worse than
waterboarding,”
“We are going to convene my top generals
and give them a simple instruction. They will have 30 days to submit to the
Oval Office a plan for soundly and quickly defeating ISIS. We have no choice.”
“One of my first acts as president will be to
establish a commission on radical Islam which will include reformist voices in
the Muslim community who will hopefully work with us."
“The
president’s one-sided deal for Cuba and with Cuba benefits only the Castro
regime but all the concessions that Barack Obama has granted the Castro Regime
was done through executive order, which means they can be undone and that is
what I intend to do unless the Castro Regime meets our demands.”
"We’re going to cancel the Paris Climate
Agreement and stop all payments of U.S. tax dollars to U.N. global warming
programs.”
“We
will build an active army around 540,000 as the army’s Chief of Staff has said
he needs desperately and really must have to protect our country.”
"We will build a Marine Corps based on
36 battalions, which the Heritage Foundation notes is the minimum needed to
deal with major contingencies – we have 23 now."
"We will build an Air Force of at least
1,200 fighter aircraft, which the Heritage Foundation again has shown to be
needed to execute current missions."
And this is just the short list.
