RACIST MIDDLE SCHOOL TEST SHOWS UP IN ALABAMA…AGAIN
…The over 30,000 that attended Trump’s Alabama Rally
The 8th graders thought the test was a joke,
but the teacher said it was for real.
Many of us here
on the “Left Coast”, we were very
surprised when early on in one of Donald Trump’s first large rally’s, he was able
to get 30,000 Alabaman’s to attend.
Having
had a long-time business history in Alabama at the NASA Space Center in
Huntsville, I had been previously exposed to many of the racial attitudes of
the locals in Alabama. So I was not as surprised as those in the press,
after the large size of Trump’s crowds were first announced. From my
opinion, the deep South hasn’t changed that much since Dr. King and the
demonstrators made their Civil Rights marches in the 1960’s. In fact,
with the rise of the number of white supremacist groups after the election of
President Obama, attitudes of the older generations in the South may actually
be worse today than that of 50 years ago.
But
understanding all this, I was still taken aback when I discovered the 10
question math test that had recently been given to the 8th graders
in the Burns Middle School in Mobile, Alabama. The test has now
hit the internet, and it is the most shockingly racist math test you could
imagine.
The Burns
students at first took the test as a joke. But the teacher told them that
it wasn’t a joke and that they had to complete it.
A student
took a picture of the test and sent it to his mom. Below is the exact
wording of the 10 question math test that this Alabama teacher gave to her 8th
grade class..
1)
Ramon has an AK47 with a 30-round clip. He usually misses 6
out of every 10 shots and he uses 13 rounds per drive-by shooting. How
many drive-by shootings can Ramon attempt before he has to steal enough
ammunition and reload?
2)
Leroy has 2 ounces of cocaine. If he sells an 8 ball to
Antonio for $320.00 and 2 grams to Juan for $85.00 per gram, what is the street
value of the rest of his hold?
3)
Dwayne pimps 3 ho’s. If the price is $85.00 per trick, how
many tricks per day must each ho turn to support Dwayne’s $800.00 per day crack
habit?
4)
Raul wants to cut the pound of cocaine he bought for $40,000. to make a 20% profit. How many one ounce
bags will he need to make to obtain the 20% profit?
5)
Desmond gets $200 for a stolen BMW. $150 for stealing a
Corvette, and $100 for a 4X4. If he steals 1 BMW, 2 Corvettes and 3,
4X4’s, how many more Corvettes must he steal to have $900?
6)
Pedro got 6 years for murder. He also got $10,000 for the
hit. If his common-law wife spends $100 of his hit money per month, how
much money will be left when he gets out?
7)
If an average can of spray paint covers 22 square feet and the
average letter is 3 square feet, how many letters can be sprayed with 3, 8 oz
cans of spray paint with 20% of the paint left over?
8)
Tyrone knocked up 4 girls in the gang. There are 20 girls in
his gang. What is the exact percentage of girls Tyrone knocked up?
9)
LaShanda is a lookout for the gang. Lacuna also has a Boa
Constrictor that eats 5 rats per week at a cost of $5.00 per rat. If
LaShanda makes $700 a week as a lookout, how many weeks can she feed the Boa on
one week’s income?
10)
Marvin steals Juan’s skateboard. As Marvin skates away
at 15MPH, Juan loads his 357 Magnum. If it takes Juan 20 seconds to load
his piece, how far away will Marvin be when he gets whacked?
Fox News decided to do some research on the math test and they discovered that the test has a
very long history. Similar versions of the 10-question quiz have been
turning up in classrooms across the country since the 1990s. Apparently,
many teachers have gotten themselves into hot water over the test in several
states, including Texas, Southern California and New Mexico.
The Alabama teacher apparently received the test from her highly
racist uncle who had forwarded a racist e-mail that has been circulating amongst Southern racists
for over 20 years.
Parents in Mobile had told Fox News that the teacher was
retiring at the end of the school year and had probably decided to go out with
a blazing ball of racist glory. Once the word got out about the test, the Burns
Middle School teacher was immediately placed on
administrative leave.
Fox interviewed a number of the parents of
the 8th grade class and they all were shocked and felt it was
totally inappropriate for their children.
However, based on my past experience in the
South, I’m not surprised that this type of activity is still occurring,
especially amongst the older generation in the South. Hopefully, that
attitude is changing with today’s young southern millennials.
