FOX NEWS NEEDS TO BE MORE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT THEY ASK FOR
Like
many others at Fox, Elisabeth Hasselbeck tries, but fails, to present herself
as a legitimate journalist.
The
Fox Network thought they had a great
idea in ringing out the old year by asking their viewers to tell Fox what they
were “over” and what they did not
want to see or hear in the coming year.
They then used their sexy Ms. Elisabeth
Hasselbeck to kick the event off with the following Tweet: “I’m over all the attacks against
Christianity!”
Yessiree,
those relentless attacks on Christianity really have to stop.
Thousands
of Fox viewers and twitter users got in on the fun and responded,
appropriately.
However, it didn’t quite go the way that Fox management had planned.
Here
is just a small selection of the thousands of Tweets they received:
·
I’m over @FoxNews
pretending to be a real news organization and not a racists, sexist,
homophobic, xenophobic, conservative PR machine.
·
@Fox&Friends I’m
over idiotic Fox pundits lying, then throwing privilege tantrums and getting
paid for it.
·
I’m over Fox: fake wars,
fake fears, fake patriotism, fake stories,
fake blondes, fake Christians, fake outrage, and Benghazi’
·
Over Fox News pretending
to be anything but right wing propaganda and for Hasselbeck being taken
seriously.
·
I am sick of Fox News
having the memory of a Goldfish after their comments have been proven wrong.
·
I am over @FoxNews
telling the bubble dwellers that $1.99 gasoline is a bad thing.
·
One tweet had a picture
of a hand-made Tea Party poster that
said the following, and yes, this is the poster’s actual spelling:
“Do I look like I want to
surve in Obama’s Nazi Yooth Militia?
Arrest our Comminist,
Racist, Facsist, Lying, President NOW for treason!!!”
But the actual tweet said:
“I’m over the [above] poor illiteracy of these Right-Wing Tea-baggers who
can’t spell “patriotism” or any other words with multiple syllables.”
·
The next Tweet had a
picture of Sarah Palin. The Tweet said:
“Has-been Republican racists never go away, they just go on, and on and….”
·
Over Faux “News”
complete denial of facts AND the bubble-dwellers who soak it up.
·
Over bigotry disguised
as “Religious Freedom”.
·
Over Fox propaganda
pretending to be “Journalism” in defense of a fascistic/corporatist plutocracy.
·
I’m over Right-Wing
patriots who say “We never leave a man
behind,” until a Democratic president brings home a POW.
·
I’m against White People
that think black people have to die if they challenge police asking why they
were detained.
·
I’m over dangerous,
incompetent, corrupt, low-information fundamentalists GOP hacks hurting
America.
·
Over the right, pushing
for less science in schools, blaming tornados on Gays, denying that 55° in
December in Michigan is climate change.
·
And finally, “Fox News
being treated as a legitimate news source.”
Nuff
said.
