TRUMP: IS RUNNING THE U.S. LIKE HE RAN “THE APPRENTICE”
…A typical Trump Campaign Rally
Trump actually believes that his political
standing: “couldn’t be better”.
You know, the problem with anyone telling a bunch of lies, they have to remember to keep what they lied about, straight.
It is appearing that with the apparent scare
that the economy is on the edge of a possible recession, our president is starting
to panic, as he is getting some of his regular on-going lies, all mixed up.
He actually recently blurted out the truth.
“It’s tough for Apple to pay tariffs if it’s
competing with a very good company [Samsung] that’s not,” the president
told reporters. This flatly contradicts
the totally false narrative that he has spent months trying to sell. Trump
apparently forgot his standard lie that China is paying “billions of dollars”
in tariffs, acknowledging instead that they are taxes paid by US companies
and, ultimately, the American consumer.
In other words, that's how tariffs have always actually worked.
This error reflects more than Trump’s inability
to juggling multiple lies. It is the evidence that Trump is melting down….and for good reason.
In the composite of all the fears of a global
recession, these are exaggerated by Trump’s bazaar and self-destructive trade
policies. These have sent financial
markets tumbling and we all know that a sharp downturn would close off one of
the lines of attack the president was hoping to use against his Democratic
opponents. He tried this out at his
latest liar’s rally in New Hampshire last week: “You have no choice but to
vote for me,” he told the crowd, “because your 401(k)’s down the tubes,
everything’s gonna be down the tubes” if he loses. “So whether you love
me or hate me, you gotta vote for me.”
The truth is, fact checking this the answer:
No.
Trump is showing how concerned he is because
all Trump has planned on running on for 2020 is the economy. If there's a recession, he's toast!
He is so concerned, he berates his own, handpicked
chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, for not cutting interest
rates fast enough to goose the economy.
He is also basically begging Chinese
President, Xi Jinping, for a meeting to work out a trade deal. In fact, he would apparently agree to any new
trade deal, but from China, so far, he is met with total silence.
He threatened China with more tariffs,
but then he backed down, at least for now. According to published reports, he is seeing
himself as the victim of a conspiracy to exaggerate the growing
economic anxiety in order to hurt his chances of winning a second
term.
The truth is that we have been in the longest
recovery since the last “Great Recession”, and we are due for an
economic correction.
But where is Trump's head today? Trump continues to exaggerate his bazaar fantasy about the possible purchase of Greenland from Denmark in what Trump just calls “a large real estate deal,” and he’s also considering imposing a naval
blockade to force regime change in Venezuela...?
Trump, who we all know has a sick obsession for
his mob sizes, he is now being mocked for his claim that he broke an attendance
record for the arena in New Hampshire that had been set by Elton John. He spent much of his vacation weekend fuming
about not getting credit for breaking that record.
Did he break the record? Since he always lies about his crowd sizes,
if he did break the record, other than his base, who’s going to believe him?
Oh, and let’s not forget about Trump’s favorite
TV News Channel, and another example that Trump is in fact, flailing around.
Today, Trump can’t seem to stop railing against his
favorite Fox News network, Because, in the
latest Fox News poll, it showed Trump, that if the election were today, Trump would
lose to four of the current leading Democratic contenders. The president seems to consider Fox News his
administration’s Ministry of Propaganda. He actually believes, that is the role the
network’s morning-show hosts and the prime-time anchors to loyally play, just for him.
Fortunately, even at Fox, the polling unit is a
professional operation. But per the president: “There’s something going on
at Fox, I’ll tell you right now. And
I’m not happy with it,” Trump told reporters. He added a threat, saying that, “Fox is
making a big mistake” because I am “the one that calls the shots”
on next year’s general election debates.
The implication being that if Fox News doesn't please Trump, they might not get to broadcast one of
the debates. They'd better toe the GOP party line. (…or
Trump’s wishes.)
For the record, Trump’s claim about his
political standing is that: “it couldn’t be better”, but we all know, it could be much
better.
“Great cohesion inside the Republican Party,
the best I have ever seen,” Trump tweeted. “Despite
all of the Fake News, my Poll Numbers are great. New internal polls show them
to be the strongest we’ve had so far! Think what they’d be if I got fair media
coverage!”
It's all B.S.
But then, one hour later, the president was
back on Twitter to attack Anthony Scaramucci, who famously spent only 11
days as the White House Communications Director and he recently became
the latest Trump supporter to receive the “eject” button.
As is predictable for Trump, when one of his
loyalist goes against him, Trump called Scaramucci a “nut job,” as Trump
claimed to barely know him, and as he dusted off Trump’s ultimate insult by calling "the Much", being "bad on TV.”
What is so bazaar about this US President is
that even though he continues to rave like a lunatic, and he does it so often, everyone
just shrugs it off.
Look at it this way: The nation is still
reeling from three mass shootings; the financial markets are yo-yoing by
hundreds of points; a bomb in Afghanistan, where we’re still at war,
killed 63 revelers at a wedding; tension between the United States and Iran
continues to mount; North Korea keeps testing new missiles; India is playing
with fire in Kashmir; Hong Kong has been convulsed for months by massive
protests seeking to guarantee basic freedoms!
And what does Trump do? He obsesses about buying Greenland
from Denmark.
Which no one thinks will ever happen.
This could become the end of this great nation. Because today, we don’t have a real US President.
We instead have a reality show host who is running the
country as he ran The Apprentice on TV.
And just like a TV show with failing ratings,
this nation could possibly be seeing a "cancellation" in its future….and unfortunately, that’s
the real truth.
